Maybe. Clang has improved his stock greatly. He went from posting solid stats in juniors right to posting even better stats in the SHL. And if rumours are true about Gibson maybe being traded this summer... it's a huge get for them.

Dubas didn't want his players to know he was legitimately shopping for a goalie. Jack Campbell has confidence issues and Dubas is a player's GM.

Maybe, maybe not. Who would've said Kulak would return a 2nd a week ago?
Value will fluctuate over time and you only need one desperate teams to make a move.

Bottomline, the original twitter post I was replying to implied we'd need to shed assets to trade Petry.

We might not get a 1st in return but I think a scenario where we pay to get him off our hands is equally unlikely.
Plenty of options in the middle.

For sure ideal time to trade him would have been last TDL but Bergevin isn't HuGo...

This is the kind of stuff I love the Canadiens doing. The Bergevin was more closed off and most of their media presence was Quebec focused (leaning more French). It seems like Gorton, Macabee and Hughes get that the Habs has a truly massive diaspora fan base and that they need to reach out to it to maintain it.

The deal was delayed so long because they couldn't find the original list. They put it through and apparently found the list after? Ottawa didn't file the correct paperwork?

So for me, Lehkonen was the best trade for the seller side. So happy that its a goodie for us.

I would say Rackell is the best add for the buyer. Ok, the goalie is maybe better than what we think but Geez, 2 garbages contracts almost this prospect so it leads to a second for Rackell. We'll see what he can bring up with top centers.

If some of these contenders are bounced early, and since there’s only 1-team that wins the Cup, some will get bounced… don’t know what type of recoil will follow

This Dadonov shit is crazy.

Player adamant their list was submitted on time (July 1st every year).
Ottawa saying it wasn't submitted on time.
Therefore Ottawa didn't submit it to Vegas in the trade.
So Vegas didn't think there was a list for this season.
Then Dadonov was traded to Anaheim.
But Anaheim is on the list he says he submitted on time.

Best part? NHL apparently approved the deal originally. Anaheim announced it at like 7:20pm on Twitter.
