Reality is, this team isn't ready to compete, isn't ready for a run, we're still good pieces away from it, and those pieces aren't available right now.
Lol you can't be serious....
You're misunderstanding his comments to fit a pre-existing narrative.Andy. It's not an opinion anymore. KH said it. Today. 15 minutes ago. My point before was that we are changing our strategy based on the games after the 4-nations. I was told no. KH Just said he did.
It didn't .. The roster size is expanding and they needed depth to patch up for any potential injuries. The inactivity has good chances of backfiring. To defend Hughes, the priority they set this year is for the Rockets to go deep in the playoffs and for the Habs to be in the mix.
Getting help for the Habs in a 2C in this sellers market would likely require trading prospects in the system wither hurting the Rocket or other future prospects.
Made sense to do nothing.
Im ok with this
I bet you those players wont reward him. When GMs get emotional it's usually a one way ticket MB learned it the hard way and so will KH.Kent presser. First thing he mentions is how the players won several games in a row.
Doing nothing is rewarding them.
And AVSFlorida and Dallas are stacked up the wazoo jeez
Florida and Dallas are stacked up the wazoo jeez
That is the Hughes spin on reality, rather.Reality is, this team isn't ready to compete, isn't ready for a run, we're still good pieces away from it, and those pieces aren't available right now.
I’m good as well. Any depth at all would’ve made sense though and the cost would’ve been minimal. I don’t get that.To defend Hughes, the priority they set this year is for the Rockets to go deep in the playoffs and for the Habs to be in the mix.

Kent says he doesn’t think they have the horses to attain their goals currently in response to a reporter’s question about acquiring a 2C.
The same commentators who made excuses for Hughes’ inaction and inability to participate in the market in year 2 of the rebuild are doing the same today. They’ll never be honest interlocutors because they genuinely believe Kent is always right. As such, as much as they post their analysis is essentially worthless.
