Hughes is sticking to his plan. He may grab a player to replace Beck because Beck clearly isn't ready.

Not right now no. Maybe not even next season, but at some point before their respective ELCs end, I would expect a decision made. At least whether one moves to the wing or not.

The vision remains to grow with your young players.

If you are not willing to trade those young guys, chances are that you won't be able to play at trade deadline.

As for the veterans, most of the names I'm hearing are likely worth more to the team to play out the stretch drive than trading for yet more picks.

All signs to me point towards standing pat on a high level.

Because if they can make the playoffs then players get playoff experience. And 95% of them have never been in the playoffs so they will see how different it is and be ready when thay are a real contender.
