That's exactly my point--he didn't do anything this deadline to jeopardize that. Unless you were one of like 10 people in the world to be insanely high on Cernak and thought he was going to pan out as soon as next year. He made small moves to
potentially improve the current team to give them a
shot--no move would have made this team an instant contender. So if you're mad at him for not having a contending team this year, sure, that's a valid concern--but being mad at him over these deadline moves is completely invalid as we've upgraded picks.

Iginla is maybe dead, maybe rejuvenated. Who knows? he's experienced, kind of an *******, and burns to win. That could rub off. And if it doesn't? We gave up
literally nothing for him at 50%. What more can you do as a GM

and as vocal as I was against Iginla earlier in the year, for this value vs. picks and psopsects for trash like Stafford and PAP, this is a no brainer.
