Hoping Lombardi has some magic left in this deadline and moves Purcell and Gaborik.
What alternate universe have I entered where Dwight King is "gritty" and "very physical" all of a sudden?
There's no point in moving Gaborik now.

My point about Iginla was is he is a pending UFA. If he wants to keep playing and doesn't want to retire, he'll have motivation to do more than what he did in Colorado this season with the Kings. No matter what, it's no sweat off the the org's ass.
Not that DL could. Not realistically anyway.
Most of the time, people have a general idea of a player. Who is watching every player, on every team, every season, shift by shift? Plus he's played for the Kings, and they've been gritty and physical in the past, so by the transitive property...
If you expect King to be something he's not, you'll be disappointed. There have been big guys that aren't overly physical, but are still physical. Just don't expect bone crunching hits from the guy. He is the definition of a grinder. When effective, that's how he uses his size.
Bad move by Lombardi.Either sell or go out and get the guy you need to improve the team.Glad he isn't signed for next year.

PAP is soft as baby **** and is a bigger disappearing act than Vanish. BUt at least that's cheap.
And what are you willing to give up for the "guy you need?"
