Pierre Houde is live on Rds this morning.

He was in Carolina yesterday to describe the game.

His brother died Sunday morning at 5 a.m...he was live on Rds... 2 hours later to describe the Formula 1 racing

The Guy is a workaholic.
Sometimes distractions are very welcome during tough times. Keep your mind off things.

Loser teams like Buffalo liquidating the only molecules of leadership from their roster for a late pick.
To be honest, Okposo took his big money and became pretty mediocre. Maybe him being one of the leadership all these years is part of the problem.

Personally I would love to move Armia just to make room for the young players.
Not that I would keep Armia if someone actually wanted him but I don't think it's a problem for him to be the 13th or 14th forward. That's not a role you want a young guy in, the key is that you don't play him over the young guys which given that they put him on waivers and sent him to the AHL this year doesn't seem like they would do next year.

The Guy is a workaholic.

He found out his brother passed away before he was about to start his F1 race. He said that his brother would have wanted him to work. And he said if it was the other way around, he'd want his brother to work.

Pierre was also on Tout Le Monde En Parle Sunday night. Emotional as he broke down crying a few times.

But Pierre isn't just a workaholic, he's dedicated to his craft. As was his brother.

Tampa was "doing everything possible to not play Savard" during their playoff run the same season. Its a high bar in the playoffs.
A lot easier to barely play someone (yet still played more than Kulak both in games and ice time) when you have Hedman/McDonagh/Cernak/Sergachev compared to Weber/Petry/Chiarot/Edmundson. Our #5 dman played nearly 10 minutes less than our 2nd pair guys. Their #5 dman played nearly 6 minutes less than the 2nd pair. It's not really the same. Savard>Kulak.

I suspect no significant trades today for the Habs. It's fine. Most of those trades will happen next year with expiring contracts where they'll probably get more anyways based on today's market
