Strome's production given who he plays with, is not great. He looks like a product of his environment. I'd definitely look at Dach, even though he's not a center.

Yeah, I personally would love to play against a guy who for his career averages 51 points per 82 games while being a strong offensive play driver despite being constantly f***ed around with by coaches and management and given inopportune roles.

No way would I want that guy on my team. Even if he could give us extra cap space I wouldn't want him.

Oh please spare me the campaign..

Amazing he cant get qualified or stay with a team or skate.

Not really? Kampfs line is going to get decent minutes as the defensive line. And the 4th line will get scraps as usual.

The Tavares line already gets soft usage and is bad defensively. You can't have the 3rd line function that way as well, thats why Keefe went to a defensive unit this year, often Mik/Kampf/Engvall. I see the team wanting to get better defensively if anything, not worse.

If Strome comes here he'll be on the 2nd line imo.

Our 4th line should not be getting scraps next year. That has to change.

They must provide special teams value and be able to take more ES shifts than Simmonds/Clifford/Spezza were capable of handling. Doesn't need to be a ton, but we can't have guys who are not in double-digit minutes in this lineup. Our top 6 should still be getting huge minutes (none of which is going to be easy for either line) but our offensive bottom 6 line has to be able to be able to take a few more ES shifts and provide some more depth offense.

Debrincat trade maybe. Could see Ottawa doing something like that for a shit ton of picks

Maybe Murray is going to Chicago too.

Murray + 7th + ??? for DeBrincat? That takes care of one of Chicago's goalies.

That feels light

Chicago gets a pair of picks in two of the highest surplus pick value ranges in the draft... And it doesn't seem like the market is all that great for those guys. Fiala didn't go for the ridiculous rumored prices either.

Probably a reason why we are not overly motivated to move Nylander too.

I think Chicago does well enough... And Ottawa is seemingly going for it.

I'd be disappointed if we traded Nylander for that and DeBrincat is arguably as good or better. Crazy this was the best Chicago could do.
