Yeah, makes me wonder what the organization is doing.

With the eventual trade of Debrincat and now the rumours of Dach being traded, why would the Blackhawks be doing that with a 24 year old forward that can score goals and a 21 year old that has struggled for a year and a half, but has some upside. They should be looking to keep those guys and turn over the rest of the roster.
Tanking for Connor Bedard

Under a scenario where we traded with Ottawa, they wouldn't take Mrazek back. We'd have to find a separate deal for that one.

I was MAF + Georgiev... which clearly can't happen now.

Blackwood... I think it was too much, too soon for him on NJD, with not enough support. I don't know if he'll become something, but his contract is rich for a backup. I mean... it works if MAF is at $3.2 but really they need to come in at $6 combined.

The (un)Athletic were saying they were budgeting around 7M for goalies so 6M would be pretty positive.

50% retained Murray and 7th for Mrazek and 25th maybe works....

Still grab MAF....that's a tandem that has worked in the past but we're a few years removed.

We have had Andersen & Campbell who were top 10 in every goalie stats lastyear....so yeah your analogy is crap

How many rounds did Kuemper win before this season lol, or vasilevskiy a few years ago....remember Binnington how many series wins did he have....I can go all day naming guys lol
I said starter. Sorry, but I never considered Freddy or Campbell as bonafide starters when they came here. They played well as backups and made the most of their opportunities behind Gibson and Quick. We continue to gamble on backups, hoping they become a hidden gem of a starter who just needs their chance.

A lot of quantity (quality TBD) given up by Colorado for Georgiev. I assume they'll be going with a 1A/1B situation in net? Although I envision Kuemper's ask to be on the exorbitant side, I also can't imagine Georgiev being their answer in net.

I just don't want us to back up the brinks truck for Darcy Kuemper. I'm worried what with the high apparent demand and low supply (particular of quality) netminders.

Safe to say that Kuemper stands to cash in extremely well if he's going to be leaving the Cup champs over it.

Leafs about to head into next season with a Fleury - Murray tandem haha
Cup winning combo twice upon a time!

It wasn't until I thought more about it that I realized how awful that nixed Murray trade is for the Sens direction.

They wanted to use a lottery pick to dump Murray. They could just buy him out! And then use the #7 pick in a package to get DeBrincat or Chychrun or someone to actually improve their team! But they want to save the money, as always.

Too bad because a buyout would be better for them and us obviously.

Dropping back 9 spots in a weak draft isn’t a bad deal…..

10 million in real money is a huge problem for some teams. I mean outside of the 2 D and 3 forwards who really projects to be can’t miss boards are all over the place
