6-7 on a stanley cup winning team not a first round loser every year.

Bad or mediocre players can play on good teams. Foote fits in that category. He wouldn't be higher than a 6/7 on most teams which do not have a bottom-tier defense, and he wouldn't even be a #7 in Toronto right now.

Hope he gets every penny and more from those teams

One of the few times I believe Kypreos. Kadri's free agency is the perfect storm to get a massive overpay. Asking price should be 10m, especially considering the cap is about to explode upwards.

We will talk again during the season and see who is correct on what size roster teams carry all year.

Why wait? Use the Wayback machine and you will see that most did not carry 23 the past few years. Most of the ones who did were, as I said, not cap teams (or they were in LTIR and were not accruing cap anyways).

You talk a big game but you seriously lack basic knowledge and it does not even seem like you support the Leafs, so why are you here?

Funny I mentioned Seattle in few days ago. They want to spend and I could see them anteing up for $10 AAV.

Florida will trade Bobrovsky and eat salary or sweeten the deal before they trade knight, especially for sandin.

yes the Leafs have no defenceman in their system near foote.

learn the game each team carries a 23 man rodter they dress 20 per game.

23-player

Teams have four different “roster” limits to balance under the league's regulations; a 20-player “dressed list” for games, a 23-player active NHL roster, a 50-contract maximum, and a 90-player maximum reserve list.

Foote is terrible. His claim to fame is faking a high stick.

lmao. no team carries under 23 once the season starts. but ok you go with your theory.

This is a screen capture from October 19 2021, 1 week after the season started

Half the teams in the league are carrying under 23

I don't get why people want Puljujarvi. The guy struggled to score with McDrai, it's not going to be better here. I get he has some good underlying numbers, but we don't need any more help in generating chances. For our top 6 we need finishers and defenders, that's not him. Considering what cap hit he would command, big pass.

Kypreos reporting on his show today that he's hearing the Leafs plan is to run Mrazek as a starter to start the year and Woll/Kallgren as backup. His reporting is always iffy but someone feeds him info.

Most teams carry the minimum number (20) of rostered players as much as possible. They generally only keep more than 20 if they don't want to risk losing a player they send down, or they bring extra players up temporarily when going on a long road trip.
