Something tells me this deal is going to have some complex parts and I bet a third team will be involved in eating salary. Leafs probably get a pick as part of the return thag will be sent to that third team.
If they get Murray at 25% without giving anything up, I'd be very happy with that, but I don't see them getting out of this nearly this good.

don’t take this as trolling please

But as a sens fan I am really happy with this trade. I want to make you guys feel better Murray has shown flashes of being a good NHL goalie but then he gets hurt and takes forever to get back to form and it just keeps on cycling. He is in the prime age of a goalie.

But f*** am I relieved we don’t have to watch him play for Ottawa anymore he lost us so many games

He was horrible last year. Dubas better hope he gets something out of this guy. He bet his job on it.

So we signing Sandin, Engvall and a couple 1M to League min players

Well done Dubas, that’s awesome

I imagine Kerfoot and Holl are getting moved out for more cap space.

There is also still the very distant possibility that there is more to this trade that may come later, but on the surface, this was arguably Dubas' worst trade outside of maybe the Foligno deal.

Seems like he gets worse with experience.

who wants Holl?

Only thing I can possibly think of is that maybe Murray isn't healthy and won't play again and with Ottawa only retaining 25%, it actually gives the Leafs more money in case Murray is LTIR for his career.

We (on paper) officially have the worst team in the dubas era. Why is our management given a free pass? They will run Matthews out of town because "we can and we will" type of points must be made. This is a joke organization. Seriously how can you spin doctor that Murray will possibly be better than Campbell?
