Kerfoot is valued by the Leafs front office. Of his 51 points this season, 47 are from even strength. Plus he PKs.
I don't see them paying anyone to take him even if they opt to try and trade him
It seemed angry to me but when you have autism, emotional content is like Apple software into an MSDOS computer in the 90's. DOES NOT COMPUTE. Plus written language. You really thought that post was angry?
I’m sure you’d be able to get more than that. A 2nd and a B level prospect I think you’d easily get.I can see them selling lower on Kerfoot than what we expect, but definitely not giving him away.
I set my expectations at a 2nd + late pick.
This is what I'm thinking. Why are we trading kerfoot?
51 points and he pks, can play on any line.
Unless you badly need capspace, there isn't a reason to move this type of player
We have decent LW depth in Robertson/Anderson/Steeves who should all be pushing for a full time LW spot with Engvall and Bunting ahead of them.People are probably hoping Robertson can step into a full time NHL role next year and replace Kerfoot at a way cheaper cap hit.

Don't worry about it man - all good!Woth my form of autism, I have to assume blame and forgive a lot more.

Feel free to pop in anytime to discuss potential Leafs/Preds trades.
I’ve been one of kerf’s biggest supporters on here, but I believe the thought process is to move Kerfoot while he’s still an asset you can cash in on (ufa after next season, 10 team ntc) and try and keep the guys in house who are playing well and need extensions (Engvall, Mikheyev specifically & Blackwell to a lesser extent)This is what I'm thinking.
Why do the Leafs really want to trade Kerfoot? His versatility has been a major asset, especially when injuries roll around. They're highly unlikely to find a player who can provide similar value on the open market for less than $3.5 million.
Mikeheyev is already walking. Dubas' biggest priority to trim fat will be to pay someone to take Mrazek.
The Myers cap space the next season is offset with a similar penalty the year after, which is the final year of Nylander, Matthews, Brodie & Muzzin’s deal.It will be rare. Only to pitch selling Preds cap space for deals. Based on the math I've seen on HF, I'm hoping for a 3rd. A 3rd for Myers 610K of cap space. (HF found 1 mil = 2nd and the draft probability says you have an almost equal chance to get an NHLer.)
So, back on thread Myers for your 3rd?
Raises required and Goalie question marks. Agreed no need to do it unless space is needed....but I think we will need. Why are we trading kerfoot?

pretty good break down, i think you could get a different player then Blackwell for the same moneyForward Group
Returning Signed Players
C: Matthews/Tavares/Kampf
RW: Marner/Nylander
LW: Bunting
RFA/UFA That Id like to try and keep
Mikheyev, Engvall, Blackwell
Possible Players Promoting to Leafs:
Robertson, Knies, Steeves, Douglas, Gogolev, Anderson, SDA, Abramov, Abruzszszszszszszsze
Ready to move on from:
Simmonds/Clifford (but need to replace this type of player...Douglas?)
Spezza......
Kase
Could Move For Upgrade/Cap Space:
Kerfoot
We are looking pretty damn good IMO
Get a legit 2 LW that fits with Nylander/Tavares and we have something exciting.
Get a 3C that pushes Kampf down?
Defense Group (including our RFA)
LHD: Reilly, Muzz, Gio, Sandin
RHD: Brodie, Lily
Try and keep Boosh
Move on from Holl
Marlies: a few possibles but nothing exciting
Again looking damn good. Def some moves that can be made to upgrade but no glaring holes
Bunting Matthews Marner
________ Tavares Nylander
Mikheyev ______ Engvall
Blackwell Kampf _______
Reilly _____
Muzzin Brodie
Gio Lily
Sandin
Appreciate any thoughts!
Edit: Elite PP, Elite PK, Elite 5v5. Solidify Goal
Even if the leafs lose in round one, trading Nylander would be a huge mistake. Moving on from Kerfoot, Mrazek, Holl, Muzzin, Campbell, should all be options though. We have no one to replace willy and none of our prospects have a ceiling thats close.
Flames Gaudreau is UFA.
How much does a 28/29 year old 100+ point player get today?
Flames Tkachuk is RFA.
How much does a 24 year old 100+ point player get today?
Talking two of the top 8 offensive players in the NHL.
Looking forward to see what happens here in Calgary.
Both should get Marner/Tavares money but probably won't from Calgary.
I think the players that are a lock to be moved next season are Mrazek, Kerfoot, and Holl. That would give us 9.3 million plus the additional 1 mill cap increase.
We resign
Mikheyev 3.75 x 3
Engvall 2.5 x 2
Blackwell 1 x 1
Kase 1.2 x 1
Gio 1.5 x 2
Boosh 1.5 x 2
Lily 2.25 x 2
Sandin 1.5 x 2
Soup 3 x 3
Bunting Matthews Marner
Mikheyev Tavares Nylander
Engvall Kampf Kase
Clifford Blackwell Simmonds
Mo Lyubushkin
Muzzin Brodie
Gio Liljegren
Sandin
Campbell
Kallgren
Total team cap is 81.93 million.
Players like Simmonds and Clifford could be sent down to bring up younger cheaper players like Douglas, Steeves etc giving a little more room.
Is Price insured?
Sounds like they're heading towards CTIR, Career Term Injury Retirement.
$31mm is a decent golden parachute.
