I am curious to see which prospect or player has fallen out of favor that we can target in the off-season...Obviously, there are situations like Comtois and whatnot from the Ducks but there might be more?

Off the top of my head, Mackenzie Blackwood and Barrett Hayton come to mind. Maybe Chytil?

I know people have been very much linking us with blackwood due to his frustrations with the devils so that's a good one.

I don't know much about Hayton or Chytil but both seem to have relatively low numbers, potentially they are not doing well due to circumstances or do they have high analytics numbers? Good ones to point out.

20 days sample size is hardly of much use. But have you looked at zone deployment and qoc for these players over this stretch? These kind of stats aren't meant to be looked at in isolation.

QOC would go generally in this order over that time period:

Brodie
Holl
Muzzin
Rielly
Giordano
Lyubushkin
Liljegren

Is this stats-backed on observational based on how you saw the pairings deployed during the games?

There's no splits stats available for that unfortunately. It's close observation - tho tbh it's actually not that hard to follow Keefe's dmen deployment.

If you want to move Kerfoot and try to bring in a bigger body that's fine (May also have to move Mrazek/Holl), but not a chance I move Nylander to bring in either of those players.
Both probably come in at least 2M cheaper and you get the return for Nylander which I assume would be players on their ELC.

Lube for his physicality. Liljegren for secondary scoring. Holl sits for sure. Liljegren and Lyubushkin have to keep making it hard to take them out.

Liljegren had a rough stretch in the season where he was seemingly on for quite a few goals against but Muzzin was also broken at that point.

Giordano-Liljegren has been a fantastic pairing.

Rielly-Lybushkin
Muzzin-Brodie
Giordano-Liljegren

Seems like the best version of this team.

In the event Muzzin can't come back as they did say he's not 100%, you have to see what your other options are, including seeing where Sandin is at.

Part of rotating Lyub, Holl, and Lily isn't just to see which combo's work best. It also keeps everyone in game shape in case changes need to be made in the playoffs (because of injuries or otherwise).

I mean you don't want Holl sitting in the press box for 3 straight weeks and then have to be called into game action for a playoff game.

Yeah, I'd prefer Lyub at bottom-pair RD with Liljegren on the 2nd pair. Every cup winner has some physical bottom-pair guy that eats pucks and clears the crease. Holl doesn't provide us with anything we don't already have.
