If we're moving our 1st for Hagel I'm probably okay with it if we get something else back with him. Needs to be a larger deal for me.

I like the idea of getting Hagel but you'd want to move another forward out with any pick. A 1st seems rich for him. I know some people are pretty high on him though. He could end up being even better but he's still pretty unproven. It's a gamble. I think it'd be a larger deal.

If Muzzin is coming back which is sounds like then It'll be hard for Leafs to do anything major. They can but obviously has to be money in money out.

I am really hoping 1 of the goalies figures it out. It'll solve 1 problem. Robertson and Lilly playing really well down the stretch would help a lot too. They're banking on some of that forsure.

Its not just for a short period but it still my opnion.
Just defensivly i dont see where liljegren should be better than rielly and for me rielly is not enough good defensive side and he need to play with someone who will protect him defensivly like brodie or like hainsey.

Brodie will be back with Rielly when Muzzin gets back and Liljegren will/should play with Muzzin.

He's played 50 games and instead of getting sheltered on our bottom pair he's being asked to take tough defensive minutes against good competition and kill penalties

He's going to make mistakes but it's a Miracle he hasn't fallen apart with what's been asked of him and the team worst goaltending support he's getting

Tampa Bay and Boston looking into Jacob Middleton. Those two teams always somehow after grit even after having grit.

He's hard to play against and has been since the OHL days. I remember Jared McCann considered him as one of the toughest D to play against in the OHL. I've been a following his game since then and he'll continue to carve out a solid career for himself.

He'd a great fit here.

I really think you bring in some more playoff type players over Engvall and Mikheyev.

I would agree but they're producing too good for a bottom 6 forwards to be scratched. Unless they're the ones being traded for an upgrade. Especially Mikheyev.

Im hoping Engvall gets moved for an upgraded version of him. A Hagel for example. Teams might like his production as a player to throw into a trade

Yeah but we unfortunately aint interested. Our competitors are. Dude is tough as nails

I can see a massive deal with Chicago go down like Frank Seravelli mentioned. A deal that involves multiple players and gets the Leafs Fluery/Hagel

Dermott + Engvall + Mrazek + 1st + Prospects/picks (none of the elite prospects).....for Hagel + Fluery (Salary Retained)

Yeah not scratch them. I meant they'd be part of the trade.

Still believe our best bet is a package with Chicago.

To Toronto-
Fluery 50% retained
Hagel
Murphy

To Chicago-
Kerfoot
Mrazek
Holl
Robertson
1st Round Pick

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Hagel- Tavares-Nylander
Mikheyev-Kampf-Engvall
Kase-Spezza-Simmonds

Rielly-Murphy
Muzzin-Brodie
Sandin-Liljegren
Lyubushkin

Fluery
Campbell

It’s weird that we finally have our special teams clicking, which has been the actual reason for our playoff issues, and yet some people seem to want to tear the penalty kill apart with some of these proposals.

At this point, our team lives and dies by goaltending. The rest of this team can compete. It's the goaltending which will kill us (again).
