If we're adding a forward, I'm pretty sure that it'll be a powerforward. That's what Kyle is targeting. Note that he traded a 1st for a washed pf last year, then overpaid another washed pf in Ritchie, and even claimed a washed pf off waivers in Clifford.

Definitely seems like that's a rather desperate priority for him.

Liljegren provides as much defensive impact as CDH and much much more than Ben Chiarot.

Why are we giving up assets for older players to play over our talented young players that are establishing themselves? Makes no sense. If Muzzin was done for the year, then I can see us adding someone like CDH to replace him.

It also hasn’t been confirmed Fleury doesn’t want to be moved. There’s been mixed reports and article today quoted Allan Walsh saying “no decisions have been made and all options are on the table”

Liljegren have good tool defensivly but when he is good position a thats the ?problem. In Zone coverage and positionning of liljegren is the worst of top 8 leafs d. When you get caught out of position its hard to make a play. Last 3 game, toronro allowed a goal on every game because liljegren get caught out of position...

Wonder what the issues in Russia and the NHL cutting ties with the KHL means for someone like Andrei Kuzmenko.

He's stayed hot into the playoffs with 8 points in 4 games.

The guy has played 52 career NHL games. I think there's still a chance the guy can turn it around.

Because he is 26 years of age, I assume he signs a 1 year ELC and becomes a UFA the year after.
That is a really good deal for any NHL team that manages to sign him.

This worries me. He comes back shortly after the deadline and could suffer a career ending concussion. And of course this is selfish but we won't have a replacement for him.

We can't buy a save when Liljegren is on the ice, I'd advise waiting until he's getting better than .800 goaltending before you start making decisions on his ability

This is incorrect. He's literally played 52 games. Relax. Young d man need time. Leafs fans really have no patience on young players.

Its not just for a short period but it still my opnion.
Just defensivly i dont see where liljegren should be better than rielly and for me rielly is not enough good defensive side and he need to play with someone who will protect him defensivly like brodie or like hainsey.
