Yeah, can't say that's sit well with me either. Time and place, y'know?

Have to wonder if that was the agent going off reservation since after the fact Talbot said he didn't really want to be moved and Guerin just wasn't having it after the agent thing.

Lots of conjecture though, so who knows.
Things typically don't turn out well when either side decides to put things out publicly. I'm guessing though that if the agent would not have gone public then something might have been worked out, maybe adding an extra year to Talbot's contract or something but we'll never know now.

It really doesn’t sound like BG ever went out of his way to keep Fiala. Moving parts to make space or re-tool didn’t have anything to do with keeping Fiala, he was a gonner regardless. Not sure we’ll ever understand why.

It's been mentioned before, something people keep ignoring for some reason.

I'd say they would have to fire Evason to keep Fiala, those two didn't get along. And this became a disturbing factor in the locker room, against Guerin's culture policy. Add the ugly negotiations last year, and I believe it's been part of the plan for while that they wanted to get rid of Fiala.

Nobody is ignoring it, we're just all fine with choosing Fiala over Evason, if need be.

And there weren't "ugly negotiations". There were hardly any negotiations at all.

I said last year, when they couldn't agree on a deal, and the Wild wanted to take him to arbitration. Very rare, usually it's the other way.

That's probably because Fiala wanted a larger contract than the Wild felt giving him at the time.

Also, there's been nothing announced related to Fiala or Evason being a disturbance in the locker room. Stop making stuff up.

You implied it was one or the other. I was covering my bases with both. Neither were a distraction in the locker room, that we know of. To postulate that there was one, as fact, as you did, is simply a false narrative.

That would imply that Evason actually goes in the room:sarcasm:

Could actually be a disturbance, sounds like they don't see him enough in there ;)

Too bad you misunderstood me. But it shouldn't be hard to understand that the locker room will be affected if there's a conflicting issue between the coach and a player.

No, you didn’t say if. You stated there was. I didn’t misunderstand anything.

SEA didn't QO Sprong. He's never lived up to the hype, but he does have PIT ties from when GMBG was there. He's a RHS, so that might offset any PIT/GMBG ties?

Said contenders, heard Winnipeg, New York Islanders. New York Rangers is another.
Based on those teams

Winnipeg:
-Wheeler
-Scheifele

Islanders:
-Beauvillier
-Bailey
-Varlamov

Doubt the Rangers are in after they just signed Trocheck.

Not for what he’s going to get
I think they mean have the other teams pay us to take some of their cap.

I think they lost out on some guys they were targeting - they know they have a hole to fill on Forward...options aren't getting better as time passes.
