If Dach is available, we should be in. Wouldn't trade both 1sts for him, but 1st+2nd+something else would be easily palatable. Would imagine Chicago ends up getting a pick higher than 19 though if he's traded tonight.
Agreed. I’m not trading both 1sts.

Hell no. Dach played with Kane and couldn't even get 30 points.
a later comment showed he didnt play all that much with Kane that season and hardly played on the pp soooo.... id still bite.
Don't do that. One of my coworkers is a Blackhawks fan and they said he's been awful since he got injured just before the world juniors a couple years ago.
some fans are very wishy washy though. we have plenty here. He may not have been all the great post injury but id still go pretty hard after him.

Fiala and Trochek were both pretty bad coming off injuries too. Didn't he shatter his entire wrist? I'm not saying your concerns are invalid, but he's 21.5, and was a highly regarded real center prospect until the injury. I'll take the chance on him over another defenseman or a second Eriksson Ek out of the draft.

exactly this, the hawks werent exactly destroying the league last season either so joining a dumpster fire doesnt help. another year healed, new team and he could flourish. only issue i see is his super low FO% but hopefully our wingers can help with that.

Really depends how serious and recoverable the injury is, can’t say what the value would be without medical info, but if they are considering moving him it must be somewhat concerning long term. An extremely intriguing skill set, but damaged goods trades very rarely work out in the long term for the receiving team.

The degree of interest in Dach would be highly contingent on the prognosis for that wrist injury, but a player of his size that can skate well and play center is probably a sound investment for that #19 pick regardless. Especially with another pick at #24.

Not sure what we'd have to add to that pick, though.

I have concerns that Guerin won't go after Dach, but will try to sign Strome, and it's giving me shades of the summer Fenton was here when I said he should go after Lindholm and we got Rask instead.

Wasn't Rask decent until he injured himself? So that would make Dach = Rask and Strome = Lindholm?

Chicago isn't going to qualify Strome according to sources. I'll take a free Dylan Strome over paying one of our 1st rounders + for Dach.

I'd much rather give up Addison for Dach than one of our 1sts, especially now that we have Faber in the system. Addison and a pick maybe? One of our 2nds?

Flower is back. 3.5M. I’m good with it, but he stunk last year. Something to think about
