I’ve been listening to the Kyperos and Bourne show and I don’t think Kyper is as bad as he was before. I don’t think his takes we’re outrageous and he seems more zoned in.
By no means am I a fan of kypreos’ work in the past, but I appreciate the slow measured approach he’s come back with vs the yelling and nonsense he used to approach broadcasting with when he was on with McLean. JB I think is a good foil for him as well.

Millen and Botteril are absolutely terrible.

"Don't say mean things to players going into OT. Don't be a big meanie stupid head!"

Stephen Brunt is by far and away one of the best radio guys in this city. No agenda. Smart guy who lets guests speak without interrupting. Isn’t afraid to disagree but does it in a low key well thought out manner. Have really grown to respect him over the years.

He was the only reason I listed to McCown years ago, at least when he was on.

He has incredible stories going back decades. One memorable one was how he was vacationing with his family and on a whim went to visit Muhammed Ali's home. Just knocked on the door (or, more likely, front gate), said that Ali was known to welcome people. Sure enough, invited them in and treated them like family.

Reactions: Garyboy and Roadhog
Just watching an old Toronto/Pittsburgh game from 1990 and while I like seeing these old games now and then, I just shake my head at what a missed opportunity this channel is. I mean ffs shouldn't it be up-to-date current day-to-day talk and hi-lights. If nothing else, give us Steve Dangle podcast. Something relevant. Mike Anscombe interviews with Ron Ellis are fine once in a while but christ as is it's essentially a useless channel. Are there plans to make it good?

That reads like it was her decision, which is good at least. Will be interesting to see where she lands, and who takes her spot at TSN covering the Leafs.

I don't want to read much into a single tweet but that doesn't sound like "I'm moving on to new things", rather that she was let go. In any case, always appreciated her game day tweets with practice lines, injury updates, etc.

I agree. I think if she was moving on she would pump where ever she is going to.

I like that she kept it simple and factual, but still knew enough about hockey to make intelligent comments about it. That makes her better than pretty much everyone who works at these networks.

I am not a fan of Shilton, but that's unfortunate. And it certainly doesn't sound like it was done on her own accord. Wouldn't surprise me if she was caught up in the latest round of cuts and was let go unceremoniously in the same way Rod Black was recently.

I didn’t get the impression from her tweet and the responses to it that she had been fired at all.
She was on leaf lunch and was cheerful and clearly in very good spirits.
There always seems to be a brief silence when somebody switches jobs in the media a lot of that is likely do to contractual stuff the expiration of one and beginning of another.
She has a impressive education in journalism and media including a Masters from Syracuse which is where a lot of the heavy hitters in sports media have on their cv.
I think it’s possible that she has a national gig lined up or perhaps even a spot with ESPN or TNT s new hockey departments. Just a guess.

Kristen these past few years has been imo the best follow to keep up with Leafs daily news. Shocked to hear this but good luck to her in whatever she does next.

i would expect that from Sportsnet not tsn. She is great. Wonder what happened? Bad decision unless it was hers

Sounds like she got a great offer somewhere else.
I enjoyed her coverage of the Leafs. Very knowledgeable.
Good luck to her. I guess it’s up to Mark Masters to shoulder the load.
