Kerfoot goes from the 4th line to the 1st line, essentially swapping spots with Bunting now.

Absolutely ridiculous.
Is it really? Bunting isn't a 1st liner either. Swapping 3rd line players around isn't a surprise. Having no one qualified for the hole in the roster is the problem.

While I agree with most of this I would like to see a McCabe/schenn shutdown line for the playoffs. I feel like Reilly needs a quicker partner to compensate for his short comings especially lately
I think a #1 defenseman shouldn't have large shortcomings that require someone else to balance his deficiencies out in his core responsibilities to his role.

Liljegren's comments today confirm he wasn't injured. He was just scratched.
They asked him about getting hurt against Edmonton "just fell into the boards. No injury or anything though".
What does the coaching stuff want to see from you?
"There is more depth on D, so need to be at the highest level to stay in the lineup".

Keefe is doing it again like last year.

If lilly is getting scratched I’m done with keefe lol, what a joke.

This place will be unbearable with an L tmrw night.
The fan base should be unbearable if they continue to play like this and lose.
These players lack for nothing, this team lacks for nothing from a resource basis and yet we see lazy, stupid plays game after game lately.
Time to put some bloody effort in on a consistent basis

Bunting's season this year has been interesting to say the least, and not so much in a good way. Not really a fan of this answer by him, and it seems like things have gone off the rails for him with his feud against the officials. Personally I think it's a bit unfair that he has to drastically change his game and be less effective just because the officials are so sensitive, but it's also on him to focus on playing hockey and not sulk over it

I'm not glad about him altering his game. It's great having a guy who knows how to ride that line and piss the other team off.

Problem is we're just not allowed to have those types of players in Toronto.

I don’t think Reilly is a number 1 dman to be honest

Bunting has been invisible the last 20 games this is a wakeup call for him.

Kerfoot won't be on that line when the playoffs start.

Bunting might be on the razors edge of playing himself out of the Leafs plans. With ROR in the mix any medium sized contract is going be prioritized on a guy with that kind of impact.

I don’t think it’s the extra curriculars that’s putting Bunting in the dog house. It’s just the regression in every other department like 3 assists in 7 games and ineffective pest stuff. What was that nonsense the other night with the cocked fist in the scrum vs Edmonton? He’s gotta be the connective tissue that makes the Matthews line work.

This should be a great game. It will be a good test for those tasked with slowing the Devils down.

Hopefully the injuries make other guys step up and further galvanize the team through a small rough patch. Every team goes through it and some are better off

What a bad response lol

Bunting can't afford to go through slumps or take games off. I'm not even talking about goals, he's handled the puck like a hand grenade lately and is not effective on forechecks. Silver lining for him is he's playing with some good players in Holmberg and Steves. Could be a sneaky good line if he gets his schite together.

I'm kind of accepting a loss already, but I guess we do have a chance because I think the Devils goaltending or defence hasn't been the best judging from my Vanecek fantasy points lately. Might be a 10-9 game now that I think about it.

The lines are looking a little dire for tomorrow. If I were to spin things positively, I would say it's cool for Lafferty to get a chance up the lineup... lol
