Liljegren's comments today confirm he wasn't injured. He was just scratched.
They asked him about getting hurt against Edmonton "just fell into the boards. No injury or anything though".
What does the coaching stuff want to see from you?
"There is more depth on D, so need to be at the highest level to stay in the lineup".

Keefe is doing it again like last year.
If we actually scratch him again I'm done

f***ing boneheaded decision

Bunting's struggles have nothing to do with him having to "reinvent" his game because of the refs. The lack of post-whistle stuff has just exposed how badly he's been playing between whistles.

He can't handle the puck right now. Not at speed, not at a stand still. He looks abysmal in transition. He can't win a single board battle and isn't physical. When he touches the puck, the play dies almost immediately.

I'm a fan of his game when he's on, but he's been a complete anchor on that line for a while now.

Could it be the fans fault?

How come Tavares is the extra forward on those lines? Did he get his bell rung on Saturday or is he getting a little discipline for his poor quality of play?

Speculation is that he was not feeling great after getting his bell rung. Pretty sure Keefe doesn't have the peanuts to discipline high aav players for their quality of play

what kind of high level play does keefe see in Holl?

what a freakin JOKE

I'm not glad about him altering his game. It's great having a guy who knows how to ride that line and piss the other team off.

Problem is we're just not allowed to have those types of players in Toronto.

XYZ to keefe: hey bunting is causing all the raucous with opposition and then we are expected to back him up; can we have a nice guy on our wing so we can just take our shifts and come to bench

keefe: sure you may. just bring me some double cheeseburgers with extra fries

The fan base should be unbearable if they continue to play like this and lose.
These players lack for nothing, this team lacks for nothing from a resource basis and yet we see lazy, stupid plays game after game lately.
Time to put some bloody effort in on a consistent basis
How dare they come close to dropping down to 5th OV in the league.

Jared McCann would be a great target in the off-season.....seems like having a fast winger who can score would really help this lineup.

This team would be complete with McCann instead of Kerfoot and Holl...

But tbf i dont know if Dubas still keeps McCann and makes all the moves hes made (Schenn, Laff, McCabe, Acciari, Samson, etc) if leafs lose to the Bolts with McCann on our team and in the top 6

Likely would have seen him dealt last summer after the tampa loss

Know would he be enough to change that loss to a W id like to think yes, but the leafs are professionals at losing in the playoffs and last years team wasnt as deep and well balanced as this even with McCann, while facing a signficantly deeper tampa team then this years one we will face

Dubas, Keefe, Rielly, Bunting, Holl, Kerfoot, Lafferty at 2C, Matthews...McCann? All in the last 3 pages and I've probably forgot someone. How I pine for the good ole days when all I read was "all that matters is the playoffs."

Jezus, people, get your shyte together.

I mean the line up is similiar in strength to a month ago when no mccabe yet and matthews was out. Yes JT was in but so was engvall.

Even if we lose a few more in this funk it'll create some needed anger and adversity. Just dont lose too many or we get Bruce for April !
