LMAO Kerfoot on topliine LW again

What is the lingo that one can use that is even above and beyond galaxy braining?

At least the 7D experiment is done and over with. small win? :dunno:
Well yeah... Kerfoot is still here after the TDL so he's going to be on the team. So if we have injures etc. why not play him on the top line? It's obvious Keefe is trying to get him going and outside of the top two lines, Kerfoot and Jarnkrok are the best offensive guys we have. That's our "depth" scoring, them scoring for us during the season and in the playoffs on the third line is exactly what we need. And he doesn't bring anything you want in a fourth liner to be playing on the fourth line.

Kerfoot - O'Rielly - Jarnkrok

That should be the third line.

What a bad response lol
A wonderful example of how a reporter can snip a quote from a larger response. From an article by Luke Fox from Sportsnet,

"Bunting is having a fine contract year (19 goals, 42 points in 63 games) but has hit a snag. He doesn’t have a point in three games or a goal in five games. He went minus-3 in Western Canada.“It is what it is. I’m gonna hopefully get it back here, play my game, and get to the net,” Bunting told reporters after practising on an energy line with callups Holmberg and Steeves.“Doesn’t matter what line I’m on, I’m gonna play my same game and bring the impact every game. Nothing changes.”Keefe believes easier matchups will allow Bunting to find his speed and play-making as well as focus on his own competitiveness and finishing.“I think he can be a driver on that line and be a leader on the line," Keefe said. “There’s a bit of a mental block for him right now, and we’re trying to help him through that. He’s an important guy. I have full confidence he’ll be back with Matthews before long.”

I would disagree. Liljegren was dumped into the corner in the Edmonton game and was slow to get up. So yeah maybe he wasn’t injured but could have used some rest.

Liljegren being scratched 1 game is not materially impactful or hampers Liljegren’s development in any way.

The team is virtually locked at #2 in the division. With all the new additions, the coaches are trying to figure out how everyone fits together; Much like the way ROR was initially deployed with Marner and Tavares.

It is better for Keefe to figure it out now and get everyone acclimated than later in season or the middle of the playoffs.

At some point Keefe will stop tinkering and will have figured out an optimal lineup.

Liljegren will be in his normal spot in the lineup including game 1 of the playoffs.

Thanks for sharing. The media is awful.

Not having the full quote to read made it sound like Bunting didn’t care about his poor performance.

When taking into consideration what Bunting everything said it is actually the opposite.

Leafs Ice Chips: Liljegren draws in as Keefe goes back to 12-6 alignment

Timothy Liljegren was seen skating alongside Morgan Rielly at practice on Monday. Sheldon Keefe spoke to the media about why Liljegren sat the past two games and why he chose to pair him with Rielly for their game against the Devils. Mark Masters has more.

I don’t mind if anyone is scratched, I just don’t think Lily was scratched for purely performance issues, probably a little bit of maintenance mixed in.

Tavares getting the scratch for tomorrow is a little bit mysterious too. Did the Leafs manage to mismanage JT’s concussion protocol on Saturday leading to a little song and dance about feeling under the weather? Is he also being quietly punished/rested/reset for performance and health related reasons?

Also wish the reportor asked Keefe straight up did JT get another concussion. Instead he asked about illness and hits. And we get Keefe's allusive response. This one might linger if JT is sitting in a dark room right now.

If he was concussed he wouldn’t have been on the ice today.

I mean the line up is similiar in strength to a month ago when no mccabe yet and matthews was out. Yes JT was in but so was engvall.

Even if we lose a few more in this funk it'll create some needed anger and adversity. Just dont lose too many or we get Bruce for April !
It won’t create needed-anger and adversity, if6 years worth of first round failures hasn’t done it nothing will with this core

Nylander: good sport. “We’ll-have-some-fun-tomorrow.”
He dont complain much.

But id like to se him on the first line. Maby marner on the second to make lines more even. Or just go all in with Nylander- Matthews -Marner.

I expect points from Marner and Matthews, but no points from the second line.

what kind of high level play does keefe see in Holl?

what a freakin JOKE
It's not so much what he sees in Holl, it's that he doesn't see that Liljegren should be a staple in the lineup.

If we go into a playoff series with a Rielly-Schenn pairing while Lily is in the pressbox I will absolutely lose my mind.

It's a repeat of the Boosh situation all over except Liljegren has been much better this year. No excuse to willingly be hemmed in on the right side if all D are healthy.

The fact Liljegren is with Rielly since Schenn is away indicates Liljegren was actually just scratched for 2 games.
Liljegren isn't starting in the playoffs. Lets be honest now.
If that is the case, the whole management team, and Keefe, need to go, and NEVER return!!!
