Ohhh Vesey makes him look good is it . Just wonderful. Someone pull his head out of his arse. He needs fresh air. 10 shots in last 7 games. Just let that sink in a minute. Floating and playing like garbage.
Don’t worry i am the one who never bashed him for signing his contract. He’s worth every penny of it. Just not lately:). It’s frustrating watching him go through the motions most of the time. He flat out looks bland and lazy.
I don't know who makes who better but I know Vesey and Kerfoot are great together and the Vesey Kerfoot Nylander line was incredible against Edmonton last week.

TO has 4 players in the top 40 of the scoring race which is awesome:

Mitch tied for #1- 12 pts.

AM #18- 8 pts.

JT #28- 7 pts.

Willie #40- 7 pts.

This is impressive of course and it's something that might endure for the entire year so how come TO's goals 5v5 is 13 and the GAs 5v5 is 13, this is not so impressive. TO's PP is running at around 42% which is even more impressive and should this continue it would shatter the NHL record for PP efficiency, is this sustainable.

Tough to see Engvall in particular - but even Anderson too - being removed from the lineup. Barabanov will likely have to see a bit more in the way of ice time than what he currently has averaged in order to make any sort of impact though. Can't argue with Boyd receiving another look.

I can sort of understand Spezza in for Anderson, but Barabanov for Engvall is awful.

Hopefully Dermott is back, since the 3rd pairing was pretty weak last game. Overall the team is really starting to slip in terms of overall play, and dumb lineup decisions isn't helping with that

I like how Tampa Bay is #2 and has the exact same point% as the Leafs

TML 6 -2 - 0
TB 3 - 1 - 0

And their wins are vs CHI x2 and CBJ OT with a benched PLD

lol
Yes. The way they come up with their power rankings list is like how a 6 year old would do it.

Assigned a number 1-16 for each team. Have like 10 employees do it. Add it up and get average. Like c'mon man.

NHL.com is so embarrassing at times.

Yes their PP is scorching and no it's not sustainable but I'll take it for now.

5v5 scoring has been down for them. 5v5 play as a whole has to be better, no doubt. Over the years they've been a very good 5v5 team so I'm sure it'll get fixed soon.

Engvall decision is a head scratcher. Keefe has been surprising me with some stupid moves so far, but hey we're 6-2.

I can see Boyd sticking
Engvall, while I don't agree with it, they need to make some decisions on a few guys

I miself is starting to think Engvall should be a night in night out confirmed player for us for life sire. He is a stud with balls and word. See that confident look in his eyes on the bench no? He has that thousand yard stare sire. Has seen dirt. I know bout life and human beings. He is a real man. Some of our newbee thugs is still growing, we can't have that too much. As long as we're winning, we can play with newbees, but if a losing streak comes, engvall is the way to go. Always. Engvall is a confident sucka, a real fool for the game. Ready to roll action jackson like carl weathers, for life. Others is not.

I honestly believe that Mattheews and Nylander are strong enough to not show the effects of the play, and neither are embellishers. You watch Petey and he's so small that any little hook sends him flying, ala Marner.

If they embellished every little hook and slash, we would draw more. You see JG do it, Barzal, Point...they all do it.
Leafs need to get the some Italian Soccer Team training

They are taking their foot off the gas to much in the third period possibly. Thats protecting leads also but getting out shot in the third period significantly. No sure how many goals 5vs5 they have given up in that third frame. I’ll check, but I’m expecting thats the discrepancy 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs Situational | Hockey-Reference.com

We are only getting out shot in the third but it’s significant, 82-58. 24 shots over 8 games a average of giving up 3 shots more to opponents each game. They will have to clean that up by getting on top of the point shots. I find they are leaving to much gap on the point men. They aren’t leaving anything in the seam nonetheless. Kind of a trade off they’re willing to try possibly because they are collapsing tight and deep to the net

We need to be much better 5on5 to be honest. Honestly, we have been kind of mediocre offensively this year. Lots of lucky goals and lots of PP goals.

We used to be dominant on 5on5 but meh on special teams. Strange.

It's funny how some were saying not two weeks ago that Engvall is useless. Although I have seen a few posts admitting they're now eating crow

Okay still fairly early in the season but if its working... leave it until someone sucks. Why say best the 4th line has looked and then change it.

I like Spezza, I really do, but I liked the younger legs on the 4th line. Travis Boyd had a nice goal too, I'd keep him in. Tough call, though.
Same here. They didn’t get much time, but they looked at home and Boyd especially was nice.

but the home run hitter for me last game was Lehtonen. Wow is he a beauty

You can't have internal competition for lower part of the line up if you don't let people compete and play. It's not the end of the world that anderson and engvall are out. It is good for competition.
