I think there are 6 potential penalties Matthews draws per game lol. Let alone this season.

It's not a conspiracy theory, it's just to point out how horrible officiating is in the NHL.

Matthews didn't even draw many penalties last year either.

The NHL is too horny for the 'good ole hockey' play even if it's infraction...

I can’t think of any missed calls on Willy. Especially not the one where his stick suddenly disappears as he is ready to put it in an empty net against the flames

just strange how a one hand tap on the glove In the neutral zone is a penalty yet a Nylander open net or a guy getting mauled in front of the net is acceptable

You see a 47 goal scorer coming at you, you play him clean and let him take his shot if you can't stop him without interfering or hooking.

Hey guys, most of you are complaining about late start of the game. If here in Europe would games begin at 10pm (like the first one vs Calgary) i would be so happy. Most of games start here at 1am, tonight at 4am, yet i watched 6 of 8 games this season already. So think a little bit on European fans when complaining about late starts. Tonight it's for you maybe uncomfortable, but for us it's common that games start late time. Enjoy your privilege and cheer for Leafs.

I honestly believe that Mattheews and Nylander are strong enough to not show the effects of the play, and neither are embellishers. You watch Petey and he's so small that any little hook sends him flying, ala Marner.

If they embellished every little hook and slash, we would draw more. You see JG do it, Barzal, Point...they all do it.

The leafs relied on luck and individual performances to get to WWW. If they want the streak to continue, they'll need a team effort.

Looking at the division standings it is clear that there are three teams that are above the rest: Tor, Mtl, Wpg.

Calgary may join the top tier, they played the smallest number of games and two of them were against us so that negatively skewed their results.

That said, can you believe our two losses came against Ottawa and Edmonton

We should be able to take care of business anytime we play Edmonton.
Edmonton was able to beat us before, they are dangerous and were able to frustrate us.

Start on time and play hard. If we play to our potential we can dominate any team (in this division)

Actually, based on what Friedman's reporting, the Flames might have some internal issues.

Unfortunately, Muzzin softened them up for the Habs.

If we win 1-2 of these gamesI may have to start getting fully invested again. These damn leafs they suck me back in. Genuinely proud of them this seems what we’ve been building towards finally solid d, solid offence a good goalie tandem. Seems like even when they go down a few goals they can catch up and for the most part hold leads. I like it
