Martin Biron has to be the cringiest take to watch out of everyone. Don't ask me why TSN is on, but this That's Hockey segment with Reda and some other dude is abysmal. Hilariously so. I did not enjoy the dude that looks like Seth MacFarlane's take either. At least Reda played contrarian and pointed out the obvious, but c'mon, that was just bloody awful.

It really is amazing. I get that Bell and Rogers own the leafs. It's propaganda at this point though. The Oh Poor Me, The League Hates Us. It's laughable at this point. Every one of them was handed a script to follow. It's great. 31 other fan bases are having a good laugh. This will follow them for years.

Honestly - go back to the 80’s, rhe 90’s, the 2000’s, the 2010’s the goo. Players have all been saying this that hockey has changed and the code and all that shit

Why Ryan Reavea has a microphone to talk about hockey culture is what is wrong with hockey. Of all the future HOF son the ice in that game we are talking to the most useless player maybe in the NHL

Hockey culture is stupid - we suddenly care what 90 year old Don Cherry and Ryan Reavea think - somebody did something stupid so we go get opinions from the stupidest people in hockey to make sense of it?!

Jen Boterill 2 weeks ago was on a TV panel chastising others for supporting retribution and saying “you condone violence against other players” and was then was condoning violence for Reilly against Other players - it’s a stupid conversation Even in the hands of intelligent people because it’s like MAGA - they are speaking to a time that never excisted and hoping to have a culture that doesn’t ever change when that culture never excisted in the first place

Am I crazy for thinking that Greig did nothing wrong?

I mean sure you don't do that against some random team but hated rivals that you want to take down a peg? Like this is hockey! One of the best parts of this game is how competitive it can get, and how much leeway it gives you to being a pest.

Why should anyone feel shame or sorry for legally sticking it to a rival team?

He did nothing wrong. He did his job which is to score goals and piss people off. The entire Leaf fanbase and Sportsnet has melted ever since.

I mean really how mentally fragile are players that a slap shot into the empty net unleashes untold levels of indignation and anger?! Get a grip! Still surprised that Reilly of all people was the guy but alas life in the Center of the Universe must come with some pressure!

Scott Neidermeyer killed the code for me. When Alfie took a shot at him in the Cup finals the Ducks went to the locker room and Pronger was fired up and telling “everyone to get Alfie because he can’t disrespect the Captain and we’ll show them who’s boss” and Neidermeyer said “No, we go out and win the game and focus on us. We battle, we stick together and we win the Cup”. And they did

Reilly responded the way he did because the code is a rule book for losers who have nothing to play for besides their honour. If Reilly had a Cup on his resume he wouldn’t feel the need to get immediate retribution because he’d have the focus to know a bottom 5 NHL team isn’t worth his time or risking his teams entire season.

That’s why Neidermeyer is an all time winner and Morgan Reilly is a Maple Leaf

Oh they're going nowhere lol. No defence and questionable goaltending....hmmmm, let's see...

Also, they're absolutely soft as baby shit (again, so are we). They have very limited toughness. This Reaves tool won't even play in the playoffs.

The funniest thing is that you could transcribe word for word the DOPS Perron suspension video and replace Perron/Zub with Rielly/Greig and it would fit perfectly. Perron made the exact same "riding up the shoulder" argument and still got suspended 6 games. He appealed and still lost. The precedent has been set. Rielly is getting 6 games.
