Lewis - Stoll - Williams
Clifford - Shore - Nolan

I like putting Richards with Carter and would like this lineup. Only tweaking I would do is put Williams in brown's spot, move brown to King's, King than takes Lewis and Lewis moves to the RW on the 3rd line.
I imagine we see some form of that top 9 at somepoint.

Not liking Carter on the top line... and the bottom 6 is two fourth lines.
 
Stoll is not a second line Center as well. Sutter....Stop with Carter/Kopitar please.

I understand Sutter's thought process with that pairing, he doesn't want Richards/Carter, cause Richards can't skate with Carter.

But I hate Kopitar/Carter.

Not good lines, top heavy 1st line , and 2 third lines.

I would rather have JW on the 1st line but he has to stay with SToll or that line becomes ineffective. JW drives that line, when he's not on there, they Corsi dips and the offensive zone time dips. JC is just not a good fit on the 1st despite how many times Sutter puts him there. I'm guessing the lines will change as the game unfolds.
I'm curious what line Sutter uses against the Kessell line. And Kadri and JVR present a problem with the 2nd line. With each of these teams having defense issues, it might be a high scoring game.

Shore gets his first NHL goal, and assist. BOLD predictions. BOLD folks.

I guess I'm "ok" with Carter on the top line considering the circumstances.

I'm wondering if
12-11-23
14-28-77
74-10-22
13-37-71
would work better. Or maybe switching Williams and Brown in that.

I am ok with Kopitar and Carter together at home where matchups can be controlled.
On the road not so much

no matter what it is time for Ricahrds to **** everyone up, or prove the nay sayers right. He will be given the opportunity now to get back some ice time.

Should be considered a must win. Losing the 4th home game and getting 2 out of 8 pts would be dreadful.
And the Leafs have looked better since the coaching change, and have 2 pretty fast , scoring capable top lines, now that JVR was moved ot the 2nd line, that balances out the top 6 better.



OT-If you want to see the NHL's highest scoring and most dangerous line (Bolts Triplet line Johnson, Palat and Kucherov ) who have combined for 43 goals, 122 pts and are a collective +75, they will be on the
NHL Network tonight (7 pm est ) VS the FLyers.
Top offensive team vs on of the worst defensive teams and Zepp starting in goal for the FLyers his 2nd NHL start.
If you haven't seen the Triplet line, they are fun to watch, very very fast skaters who work so well together and are scary in the offensive zone.

Ya, this is definitely the golden opportunity for Richards, or anyone else who wants more ice time on a higher line, to go out and prove they deserve it. I hope they can do it.
 
Sutter said Pearson/Toffoli absence will provide opportunity for guys "who have been *****ing about ice time."

OH SNAP! Someone bump up the Richards thread lol
