A number of factors to consider.
Rivalry game vs Boston on the road means they’ll be at their best… But if Boston is without McAvoy and the path to victory is a little easier on paper that might influence the Leafs to try less hard.
They might start on time to redeem themselves from the Kings debacle. But they might also just start the second half of the game and rally for a comeback just when you think they’re really cooked.

True. And Sammy is due unless he really is the 57th best goalie in the league and last season was a mirage. He did have a stretch late last December where he was this bad in a 6 game stretch and he powered out of it. I am concerned but like I said he is due.

Last 6 years, they lost Chara, Bergeron, Krajci, Krug, Rask
That's 2 gurantee HOF and 3rd potential one in Rask
That's 3 different HOF in 3 different positions
Yet year in year out, they compete. went to finals in 2019 without Chara
Starts at the top... Constant adoption with coaches and players
I know. I thought so too. Boston has had a pretty easy schedule so far. We'll see what happens tonight. Matthews and JT should be crushing those guys though.
