The Rogers deal almost certainly contains an exclusive negotiation period for them to get a new deal done and I'm not convinced they won't find a way to renew their exclusive deal.

In any event, Leafs fans would still be looking at 26 or so games on Sportsnet. That was the whole point of Rogers and Bell buying MLSE -- to prevent either SN or TSN from being locked out of Leafs and Raptors regional games.

I wouldn't be too sure but who knows man...i hope for sake of good entertainment its not renewed.

I always wonder if a player like Marner never gets hit because he's shifty or because he's not physical and doesn't throw hits and maybe there's an unwritten code or something. I don't think I can remember him ever taking a solid hit.

Thats the key isn't it? I mean you have the puck total of 2-3 minutes a game
THe rest of the game is played without the puck.
