Great sign indeed... I don't know what we'd do without McAvoy's ability to move the puck and QB the PP. That's Krug's bread and butter. We could really his skillset, getting into the offensive zone and sustaining pressure is so tough against the Sens. We shall see!

If the bruins somehow had a healthy Krug for a game 7 scenario, that would tip the scales

But if he can come back later than that which is more likely, that would be amazing

Personally, I can see Krug asking to come back in if we force a game 7, then being out for game 1 if they advance. If he gets clearance and it's just pain with a medium chance to reinjure, I'd rather have him out there than liles as long as his skating and timing is

I say get'm all back in time for an eventual next series. Getting 90% healthy guys interests me more than 75% at this point. Specially how physical this is becoming.

I'd be surprised if he plays in G7 if there is one. Gotta believe he's good for G1 or 2 of round 2 if they get there.

feels like McAvoy has been playing a decade with the poise he`s showed. Sure has made his mistakes but seems to be the kind of kid who forgets about it immediately

Real excited for this kid`s future

Congratulations Torey, a real accomplishment!! Speaks volumes of the person he is, wanting his degree and continually working towards it in the off season.
Class act Bruin!!

At least he went back. As much as these guys make, it doesn't last. Need to fall back on a degree,

Top 4 or over paid and rated ?

top 4 easily IMO and not over paid at all.

I know some fans don`t like $$ spent on intangibles but I envision this guy continue to mature into a role of mentor for the younger players as Z nears the 18th hole.

Krug has done all he was asked to do and more for this team IMO. I understand that he`ll never be able to muscle or bang bigger forwards off the puck and there will be times his size presents challenges defensively but his quick feet and high hockey IQ often allow him to get to that puck first and make the smart play.

Now, all that said, I need to come clean here, my man crush on Krug is hard to hide, I just love the guy, and his absence due to injury in the playoffs was a massive blow for the team

I think hes a top four... Especially when hes paired with a guy who can handle the top 4. IMO he is by no means going to carry a pairing in the d zone but he is top 4 caliber for sure.

I think hes going to be poised for a good season 5 on 5 this year with the options they now have on the right side.

Even if its Killer and not on of Carlo/McAvoy. Killer had a strong playoff performance and it looks like the skating/edge work with Oates is paying off.

And you're right- they absolutely missed his transition skills in the playoffs. That was probably the most glaring hole next to consistency from the other forward lines

I`m giddy with the possibility of seeing Krug and McAvoy + Spooner on a PP unit, could be a blast to watch:yo:

I'd be surprised if Krug and McAvoy end up on the same PP unit, especially given the skill-sets of the other 4 D-men who will be in the line-up.

Chances are they run two units with 4 F + 1 D, with Krug on one unit and McAvoy on the other. If they do run 2 D on a unit I would wager it might be Chara and McAvoy on unit 2, depending on how much they trust McAvoy to quarterback a unit with 4 forwards.

All that being said, at some point in the season you might see Krug and McAvoy on a pairing, which personally I'd love to see what Krug in particular can do with a partner who is fleet of foot and can take advantage of his passing talents as well as set him up for scoring opportunities from the blue-line.

I did say "possibility", a man`s allowed to dream:laugh:

With Pastrnak and Bergeron! I can't stop thinking about this. However I must admit I think they ultimately move separate Krug and McAvoy with Krejci manning the point on the top unit.
