I actually think there’s a “handshake” agreement to re-sign ROR in the off-season.
Both ROR and Tavares can easily play LW, which is by far our weakest spot in the line-up. ROR or Tavares will both likely see significant minutes at LW on the Leafs. Occasionally we might run all 3 of the guys at centers to expose match-ups on home-ice. And, given Tavares and ROR's biggest weakness (skating), it may lessen the burden on one of them.
So 75% of O'Riellys salary is being retain by both St Louis and Minny. The Cap looks like is only a 1.8 mil hit with over half of his salary already paid. this is turning out better than I thought. Still lots of room on the cap to go after another big name like Meier or Ghost or both.

This is a big trade and it will definitely help TOR but has a outsider looking at them lose to CBJ, MTL, BOS, TB in the Playoff I never for a second taught what they really need is a upgrade at 3rd C, this team has lack D for ever or G, even when it is going well when the intensity crank up that when the weakest link cause the entire team to fail.

I'd just like a new St Pats jersey that I can customize.
This is gonna sound dumb, but I really want a Timothy Liljigren (google says I've spelled that correctly) St Pats jersey. But I would not buy a jersey like that unless he plays in the game.
So I'm waiting and seeing.
Also I am old and got schooled by the RealSports employee about Tavares and the A on the St Pats clearance jersey, I have all kinds of excuses haha.
But yes I do need to check the timeline she gave me on him becoming captain vs. this St Pats jersey. If she's correct (and I bet she is) that is some impressive knowledge, and yet that jersey should not be $200 today.
