Cheers. Good feedback. Blues did well too. Should of mentioned that but happy for Leafs.HF: "Matthews is going to walk if the Leafs don't make a trade, but nobody wants their late picks and crappy overrated prospects anyways."
Also HF: "I can't believe they traded away a first round pick in one of the deepest drafts of all time. Adam Gaudette is the best player in the deal."
Finding nuance around here is like finding a needle in a haystack. I think the Blues did a tidy bit of business in this trade, and they're setting themselves up well for the draft.
Why would this affect Kerfoot. He's a winger no?Kiss Kerfoot goodbye. Assuming ROR plays 3rd line center, then don't need Kerfoot and he wont be on the fourth line.(3.5 mil), So can package someone that needs a small center whose motor doesn't stop but doesnt get anything done.
I agree. Which is why Blues fans thought it was weird that Leafs fans were so adamant about not going all-in with Dubas' job on the line. Most didn't want to trade the 1st at all, much less add to it. I'm not disagreeing with the price at all. I'm disagreeing with a large portion of the fanbase's hypocritical stance on it.
19 points for all those assets he better be ryan o'Reilly of 19.This is purely in the wait and see category for me. I know he’s got the track record but I hate having to gamble on a guy having a brutal year.
Still, a lot better than a first for Foligno.
No one cares about how the officiating was against you. The officiating sucks for every team. It’s not specific to the leafs lolGo watch the series lmaoGotta love Wes !
Leafs were the better team last year, sadly the piss poor officiating determined the series. Now with Toronto improving their roster and Tampa getting worse, this swings the odds heavily in Torontos favor. If Tampa sits idle til the trade deadline, Leafs in 5
Kampf was part of the problem. The kind of guy that does a lot of skating but doesnt get anything done. Put Kampf on the wing.I'd imagine Acciari plays wing because there's Kampf as well.
Going way, way back, Bylsma would use him at times with Eichel as sort of a "super-line" rather than having them each on their own in certain situations. Jack stayed at center, O'Reilly would slot in on the wing in those circumstances. It's possible they do that again. Or they push Kampf down a line.
And for what it's worth, I don't think the ROR detractors will be as loud in the playoffs. He's a very consistent performer.Fair.
It was either way... at least they're going to try do or die.Man imagine the leafs get knocked out by Tampa. You gotta admit it's the end of Shanahan and company and core at the same time.
You and Joe had a different dynamic. My dad has been a Blues fan since '67. For me, getting to take him to a Stanley Cup final game in 2019 meant the world. It's something I hope to tell my grandkids about. It's been what, 56 years for Toronto? I hope there are a lot of leafs fans who get to experience what I did.If you are a Leaf fan just ignore the haters, they will literally show up for anything the Leafs do, or may do, with negativity.
As a third party fan this is a great move for the Leafs, look at his underlying stats and you will see ROR is still creating this year, and they are getting him to be a solid two-way addition to their forward group, and at best the 5th best forward on the team as opposed to one of the top few. Acciari is a sneaky solid add for the 4th line centre role and the Leafs didn't give up any prospects?
Great move by Dubas and the Leafs.
Haters gonna hate.

I watched the game against Florida.Haven’t seen him play this year huh?
It’s better than just trying to win with the same lineup that never gets it done over and over and over. Not a Leafs fan at all but I think this is a really good move for them that actually addresses weaknesses in their lineup. If leafs lose in round 1 or even round 2, this is a huge fail.
Lol <<<<McDavid, Draisaitl, RNH and McLeodSee that's what I'm thinking, I'm thinking you push Kampf down and you go with 3 headed monster because then Kampf becomes your #4 and that's the best center core in the NHL.
And for what it's worth, I don't think the ROR detractors will be as loud in the playoffs. He's a very consistent performer.
All due respect, you are wrong about ROR. He has a lot left in the tank. Can't say I'm a big fan of this for Toronto. ROR looks done...as a few others mentioned seems like history repeating itself (Foligno trade).
Right now I think Knies is more valuable than the first, i assume you agree. Is Acciari worth a 2nd and a 3rd? No, so the value falls in the blues favour to me.would you rather give up a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Kneis?
