Confirmed with Link: TOR sign G Petr Mrazek to 3 year deal, 3.8M AAV

We weren’t getting that for 700K.

That is a good take-away from those signings both to Atlantic Div rivals and the type of sandpaper they bring to a team.

He hasn’t been great in the playoffs overall, but you’re assuming it’s Campbell so perhaps not his role here.

They probably realized last year that letting Bogosian walk was a mistake. They saw his pedigree shown in T.O on the cheap.

They decided to replace much of what Savard brings with Bogosian again. Now after back to back Cups Leafs need to fight them and others in the division with a much softer team....again...

Liljegren is slotted to take his job. At the very least it is going to be a serious competition.

Bogosian just takes over for Savard... Nobody competing with him. It's also going to mean a lot more ice time probably. He wasn't going to get more than the 14-16 minutes he got last year if he was able to win a job in the top 6.

I do think the Covid thing is reason #1 though.
 
Even Steve Simmons who never misses a chance to take a shot at Dubas' has reported Bogo's free agency decision was being driven by covid considerations (meaning no Canadian teams)

I think Lil is because he’s gone nit because they slotted him in. If he wanted to come back, he was back IMO.

I would assume the agent would know the price point he would be offered in free agency or that would be a good awful agent. But I suppose they could have gone in blind and just signed the deal

Mitch is and always has been scared. He likely had it far too easy when he was younger and now with the big boys on a massive contract, he can't handle it.

Playing harder also means MENTALLY, not just physically. This core group needs to be way more mentally tough. It's been how many years and only NOW they take a small step? As much as I hate said rag doll incident the refs had given us a PP before the incident. Petry is trying to goad Matthews into making it 4 on 4. It was embarrassing but you can’t retaliate there

Take a number down and get him later. Problem is we only take the number down and don’t do anything because Dubie built a soft team

Fine deal. A good goalie who can be a starter too if needed. Bit high on money but reasonable.

All of whom were worse outside of Ullmark and Grubauer?
 
For the love of God, why does Dubas keep wasting cap space on brutal signings?

Can’t believe he’d give away three years at nearly double the salary to a mediocre goalie who’s always hurt rather that a proven winner like Holtby.
