Those two have time left in their careers. Trading for a re-signing advantage is worth something

He's not wrong. Toronto has had good drafting. Pro scouts are a different story.

'Boosh' on the top pair and your happy with that?
With those pairings I don’t see rielly and lyubushkin to carry all the heavy lifting, they don’t really use rielly in that way now with brodie.
Muzz holl and Gio brodie can split the tough matchups.
Lyubushkin (there, feel better?) has been steady and good with us and provides and element to the line up. He’s also a decently mobile guy and doesn’t have to do any puck handling.

Did Gio have a stint with the Sue Greyhounds?

It's laughable that a GM builds a team with the players' JR team in mind.

Is Muzzin out for the season? Seems like an odd addition considering that with Muzzin the Leafs now have Rielly, Muzzin, Giordano and Sandin on the left side, while employing guys like Holl and Lyubushkin on the right side. Not that those guys are "bad", but both are probably better suited as #5/6 guys and the right side is the one that needed upgrading.
