Wish we paid the premium for Chychuran + Crouse

Instead going after a comparable player to Muzzin who when he comes back provided what Giordano does

We need a smooth skating D-men entering his prime who could support Rielly with offensive abilities

Wish we went after Chychuran but I guess not. Hopefully Giordano If he played with Brodie can rekindle that chemistry from the mid 2010s that they had

IIRC... Muzzin was probably the Leafs most effective D in the playoffs until he also got hurt.

It would not suprise me, if Giordano, much like Muzzin this year, may have been "playing to get hurt". These are two guys that are likely going to substantially elevate their game in the playoffs. With Lyubushkin a likely regular, and that 6th spot theoretically up for grabs between Sandin/Liljegren/Holl, the Leafs will have quite a bit if physicality in their blueline.

Lol just paid the premium? There is a MASSIVE difference between the value of those 2 and Giordano.
I’m sure you leaf fans think the premium is not much but maybe stop being so biased.

Chychrun would cost 3 1sts equivalent while crouse would be a 1st+.

I'm sorry but no they weren't. They were absolutely better then under Ward but not a top team with Sutter last year
I said after Sutter's system was in place. You dont implement a system day 1, it takes a few weeks. Over the last 17-21 games of the season Calgary ranked 3rd in GF%, 7th in SF%, 4th in CF%, and 2nd in xGF%. They were definitely dominating

I'd argue it's the other way around tbh.
Can't believe you're making me defend the Leafs but Niemela, Knies, Robertson, Sandin and Liljegren are good picks for where they were selected.

Bad teams do well when there is no pressure anymore not to mention we played mostly trash teams.
