Because the entire East buffed up and you guys looked to be projecting to be out in 4 in the first round when your core is a couple years from breaking up and his job is on the line?

Not that this trade means anything because the Leafs are still going out in first round in 4-5 games since there's a 95% chance they're facing Tampa.
Or we are playing 7-D chess and losing games purposely to let Boston take 3rd in the Atlantic….:naughty:;)

Giordano-Brodie is still a high-end shutdown pairing going into the playoffs. Too bad their goaltending is a nightmare

Another deadline blunder for Dubas. Whats next, the corpse of Subban?

Kneeordano-Slewban would be quite the pairing

As much as I don't like the Leafs I think this is a good add for them.

He's one of the only NHL players I've met and I just remember how solid/thick he looked. He's a tank and perfect for what they lack.

Chiarot got a 1st +. Manson got two 2nds, it was always going to be a 2nd+.

We should have a new GM period, but if it involves a 1st or one of Knies, Robertson, Niamela, or Amirov, then we riot.
No way amirov is on the table for anyone considering his health

That’s 8 NHL D and the 6 vets make up a real solid playoff D core
