And it wasn't hard to figure out.Next time you should try looking instead of assuming.

Listen jacks. It was obvious the other way too. Even if you read the next couple of posts. The only one assuming anything is you. :shakehead

Downgrade the trade, and think of Juulsen?

Obviously the Habs wouldn't trade Serge for Kadri but on the same token, the Leafs wouldn't trade Kadri for a deal centred around Juulsen. He's a good prospect and will likely be an NHLer but he's pretty much dime-a-dozen.

There is no trade involving Kadri to Montreal.
Absolutely zero interest or need from the Habs, plus Mtl is not moving Serg.
Now if you want to talk JVR, that's a player we could use.

He looks great, which is the reason I made this proposal.
He's not a sure thing however.

If we make this trade, we have no projected top4 LD prospect in the system with Markov having 1-3 years left and Beaulieu who might be a top4 LD but still not a sure thing.

We cannot trade Sergachev without getting a potential top4 LD back. Especially not for a center that would be on our third line behind AG and Plek.

Montreal
As the title states:

TORONTO:
M.Sergechev
D.Desharnais

Reasoning:
Toronto prospect pool lacking strength on defence
Toronto centre depth significant
Kadri not suited to 3rd line role

MONTREAL:
N.Kadri

Reasoning:
Kadri 2C that can slot behind gally
Prime aligns with current assets
DD out
Childhood Habs fan, Lebanese

sure! let's help our hated rival the leafs have a stud dman to go along with their young forward corps!

Only thing worse than this trade for Montreal are those saying Sergachev is better than Marner.

While Kadri is a decent #2, Montreal already has a good #2 and looks to be more interested in wingers. While the value is way off it doesn't really matter as Montreal doesn't need Kadri

I like Kadri but he'd be redundant in the Habs lineup, plus the Habs will need the cap space to sign more important players in the next couple years. Also, I have absolutely no desire in seeing Sergachev becoming a top D in a blue and white jersey. The guy has too much potential.

So, no to Kadri to Montreal and no to Sergachev to Toronto.

I would guess that Sergachev is already a top 5 untouchable in the entire Habs organization.

The trade proposed is absolute insanity.

Sergachev is going to win the Norris within 6-7 years.
He is complete package in a way that no Leaf dman is.

Kadri? I wouldn't do it if they were sending Marner.

I think you forgot the sarcastic emoji at the end.

Wow just drafted him and he's already winning the Norris?

He's a great prospect but you might wanna temper your expectations a little.

Exactly

if people don't consider Nylander untouchable then Serg sure isn't.

Toronto is rich in prospects, they can afford to trade away their good ones...habs have one of the worst prospect pools in the league, Sergachev is without a doubt an untouchable, especially with Subban gone and old man Weber in his place.

I really think MTL-TOR proposals contravene this board's rules about realistic proposals. These teams will NEVER make a trade involving quality prospects or players.

Also, I hate the value and the utter disregard for needs.
