Don't know what posts you are reading, but the majority of these posts are some light-hearted ribbing on the Malgin experience, with some wishing him well and others hoping Hunt becomes something, with some thinly veiled innuendo in-between....

You sound like the one complaining the most vigorously and as for "unlikeable", no comment... Merry Christmas!

To me, it looks like Dubas supporters are a little unsure of how to respond to the GM trading a player that was perceived to be such a pet project, who turned out not to be that important… For another player who is also not that important… but is somehow a de facto mascot for the “other” side of the fanbase.

He's a good skater, he just accomplishes nothing.
I'd rather have a guy like Hunt in the bottom of the lineup where even if he's not scoring, he'll lay some hits and won't be knocked off the puck as easily as Malgin. Hunt also has some great defensive metrics, good fit for the 4th.

Malgin had a good camp, had some moments in season but that’s it. I guess we swap roster spots, Malgin gets another chance at the NHL, Dryden Hunt is 4th line depth that can clear waivers. Doubt he plays 5 games for us. He looks like Jack Eichel, so that’s something.
