Hard to say between him and fox..both are really good. IMHO play them both together at all times. They do a good job switching sides often anyway.

I would never call Hank greedy for getting money that he's owed, but I will also say that naive fans that want to do him a solid and think he's owed to retire on his own terms because they sleep with a picture of him under their pillow need to consider this and grow the f*** up.

Yeah you'd have to be offered multiple firsts, an A-level prospect, and a decent roster player to even consider it. Particularly given that we have another year of control even if we couldn't sign him long term. He won't be moved.

That's tough. If it were just about giving up the money he's owed it would be one thing. But asking the guy to walk away from his profession? To retire is to quit playing NHL hockey, when he pretty clearly still wants to play NHL hockey and is obviously very capable of doing so at a very respectable level.

Makes you wish NHL contracts could be restructured like NFL deals. Like he could reduce his base to $3M with another few million in incentives that he wouldn't hit. I would wager he'd do that. I just don't think he wants to quit playing in the NHL, and for that I can't fault him.

I was listening to blueshirts breakaway and the guys there were like... Maybe DeAngelo is worth a 2nd. I was like wtf? The guy is a mid 20s 40 to 60 point player with years of rfa control ahead of him... How is that worth a 2nd?

Id trade DeAngelo in a package to get byfield or something (like if we had the #10oa pick and someone wanted to trade 2oa for 10, Ada, lias and a 2nd, I'd do it in a heartbeat... But other than that I'm not really interested in moving him.

Looking to trade Trouba is a completely obvious move to me however it admittedly will never happen. It's now or never for the next 7 years and we now know what we have in Fox/DeAngelo much more than we knew in the summer when we made the trade. If they wont move a guy to LD (which they seem to have no interest in doing) it's complete overkill to have all 3 of them on RD.
