I was really impressed with Skjei today too. He covers a lot of territory. Our best d-man this year.

ADA is our best D man easy and a top 5 player period on this team. Howden has also been really impressive
Actually I think Nash wanted no part of a fight - with anyone - at that time. I was impressed with ADA for starting something and also impressed with Nash for taking the challenge despite it not being in his or his team’s best interests. Respect for both combatants there.Rocked Riley Nash and then repeatedly punched him in the face after he wanted some. LOL keep provin’ ‘em wrong Tony!

Seemed to me that ADA was the aggressor 100%. But I only noticed them after it started to go down. I wasn’t following it throughout. You may be absolutely right. It just seemed to me that ADA had a bee in his bonnet. Which is fine, sometimes. He didn’t do anything dirty or embarrassing. He was just playing hard-ass hockey. Which the Rangers need, sometimes. And I love it.I guess I misread the scene - it looked like he got him good, held Nash and roughed him up for a second, Nash got pissed, started talking and Tony dropped ‘em, not letting Nash skate away like a baby and made him answer the bell or look like a puss in front of his team and crowd. Smart move by Tony. Also knowing that Columbus got away with a lot throughout the night. I remember Seth Jones with a mighty nasty hit from behind on Lias too before that or near it somewhere. Nash is also no pushover from what I remember too, torts kinda guy. Can’t wait to watch this kids progression. It’s great so far.
D'Angelo remindst me of Matthieu Schneider...when he’s mad he plays better. And he handles the puck just as well.

Yes. He was like Panarin’s shadow there. Panarin was skating around looking to make something happen but ADA was right with him stride-for-stride. ADA is very smooth on his feet. Also, anyone see him do a pretty damn good job of limiting the space almost entirely of his future teammate breadman in OT?

If I remember correctly, he was talked about almost exactly like Merkley was. He had elite potential, and was projected to possibly become a top pairing defenseman if things fell into place. He was seen as boom or bust. He had issues defending. He had a temper and an attitude.Really impressed with what he has turned his game into. Question for the people that followed him during the draft. Was this the type of player scouts were expecting him to become? What kept him from reaching this stage earlier in his career?
I wasn't really following the draft back then but I think a lot of the reasons he went lower in the draft was questions about his defense as well as controversies about his personality. Similar to Ryan Merkley from last year.Really impressed with what he has turned his game into. Question for the people that followed him during the draft. What’s this ‘in real life’ you speak of?I think this was more of the issue with posters on here than anyone in real life.
ADA’s attention to defensive detail has been leaps and bounds better than what I have seen in the past and even better than the first couple of games this year. Hat tip to the player and the coaches.
Yeah, have to agree. I have given Quinn his praise and do not want to pile on, but could be that he has found away to get deAngelo to respond and a way to harness his aggression. He's fiery. I love it. I wish more players played with that same passion and energy on a nightly basis.
Bullshit calm down. I love this ballsy kid. Keep doing just thatThe Sewell Pyschopath will go with anyone anytime. I knew he was going to drop them as soon as Nash looked back at him.
He needs to calm the F down but other than that I love everything about his game.
It's been a while, so I'd like to remind everyone of thisNew season, we're going to try this thread again. Let's please keep focused on his on-ice play or you'll be removed.
