Yep I dont get why you dont put him in after giving up 13 goals in the last 2 games before tonite unless something is up
 
If the beat reporters weren't worried about losing access, they'd pester Gorton and Quinn until they got a real answer. Something is definitely up and, since the games aren't entertaining, I wouldn't mind reading about some off ice drama.

Prob only fans on a website are as overly concerned with such nonsense when the team is shit and in a nose dive.

Im gonna go out on a limb and assume they are spending more time worrying about who they are gonna shop then giving a f*** about ADA.

I know this wasn’t your intention, but we should relax with the blind accusations like this.

I’m thinking the team knows he will be playing a ton down the stretch. McQuaid won’t be around and they need to showcase him to recoup their value. I also think they’re trying to rebuild Shattenkirk and Smith’s value. It’s a tough position to be in.

I miss the days when we would talk about his off ice conduct and politics and not how he's the #7 defenseman behind Smith, McQuaid, Staal.

You’re right I was merely spitballing because it all defies logic.

Didn’t mean to insinuate just can’t think of something else. Injury would be disclosed. Family matter also. Team playing too well with him in? NO. It makes no sense. Unless there’s a trade market for him and they’re pulling a McD and not playing him until one team flinches I guess.

But your point is taken

From a rational, on ice play only perspective, I agree, there seems like there should be more to the story
 
If they’re keeping him out to showcase someone I’m not sure why you wouldn’t sit someone else today for him.

No one on this defense is above being sat. Not one. If we are trying to make him into something... sitting for game after game after game isn’t making him into anything either.

Ehhhhh whatever. There are worse issues on this team ATM. Plenty

To me it’s apparent they have to build trade value in McQuaid Shattenkirk Claesson and even bonehead Smith they’ve got to try and move some or all of these guys. But sitting him out every game is ridiculous

I guess I’ll play devs advocate and ask what value we have raised in those players the past 3 games?

Also, if we played ADA and he was amazing and someone came calling for him we wouldn’t listen?

I get the contract size so that’s not the issue. Cap space isn’t our issue.

Return is the issue. Assets are the issue

Because when taking the current team, and the plan for the future, in the eyes of the full
management, he’s priority 65/70.
 
I really don't think Pionk is Quinn's pet. He's competitive and he's got an engine. He doesn't wear down but he's not really a first pairing guy and a good argument could be made that he's really a third.

That said I think Tony should be playing and it's not McQuaid either I'd be taking out of the lineup. So that only leaves one other right shot defenseman that I think should be scratched and I'll let everyone guess who that is with these hints---he's the only one that I haven't named and he's the guy that announcers always make a big deal of that Quinn scratched him once early this year.

Anyway the tandem of Skjei and McQuaid is the only one that hasn't been torched with goals against over and over again in the last 3 games so take that for what it's worth.

If the board’s pet isn’t playing, it always because someone else’s pet is.

It’s a hard to refute defense mechanism.

Speaking of Reggie Dunlop--I saw Slapshot at the Capitol movie theater on College Ave. in Elmira NY so many times when it first came out that the last couple times they just waved me in for free.

Not shocked at how often he’s been scratched this season.

Very shocked at how little Pionk’s been scratched this season.
