Honestly, not a big deal to shrug off Panarin after he jumped him. Punching a defenseless player in the back of the head is not okay.

I love Wilson when he plays on edge i.e. when he hit that player on the Penguins shoulder to shoulder a split second late. I'll live with that because it's a simple, deserved interference on a clean hit. But I don't need to see this stuff after the whistle, essentially like in an NFL fumble pile. He hasn't learned clearly or he thinks somehow this is helping the team win when it isn't.

I agree, one of the best "interference" penalties I have ever witnessed.....

That's a lot of words to simply say "I dont care if he seriously injures someone"

To be honest, when Wilson does shit like this to a team and their biggest response is after the game instead of during the game, I think that says a lot about the team not caring if he seriously injures someone. That’s why I get more pissed at my team about this than at Wilson.

Did I miss something or are you saying he punched him in the back of the head with this clip? If so :biglaugh:

I’m not sure what it’ll take for a certain segment of fans to actually acknowledge Wilson as a problem.

I’d imagine he’ll have to wind up on another team and doing something to a Caps
player before they get the picture.

Concerned enough that a number of people people in every Wilson thread go on about how he needs to get hit in the face with a stick or something to that effect.

Please. Humans aren't that concerned about each other. Never have been, never will be. People generally only have concern for looking concerned.

Well, at this point I think people are more than willing to see Wilson have something go his way if it somehow prevents or minimizes the damage he causes to other players.

And also, I at least partially agree with your second point though we’re getting way too general. Hopefully the evolution of an intelligent, self aware species changes this at some point.

Clearly punches him in the cheek. You're more blind than Mr Magoo if you think otherwise.
Hahaha. It clearly glances off the dude's name plate.

Look. A punch to the neck area doesn't make what Tom Wilson did better. Maybe we're both just seeing different things in different frames.

All from blindside/charging hits. Just off the top of my head, there's probably more.
So a... what was he, 38-39 year old man with one foot out the door already...

A guy who is still playing, just scored against the Caps like two games ago... By the way, he also got blasted on another non-Wilson suspension so give whoever that was partial credit for the ending of his still-very-active career.

And another guy who is still playing, just matched his season-high in goals, seems to be recovering okay. Arguably the "worst" of the three since he's now at just a ~40 point pace, but he's also been injured a few other times and it's been three years. How long does it all stay Wilson's fault for?

Incredibly vicious, violent, uncalled for, dangerous attacks. This is about as bad as it gets. These are not fights, this is Wilson assaulting skilled players and driving their heads extremely violently into the ice, this is the sort of stuff than can leave guys permanently brain damaged or even dead.

His longest suspension to date is 20 games, this was WAY worse IMO. I’d give him at least 40 games, personally.
