Why don't the Rangers employ a proper 4th line? What they have now is an embarrassment. Who'd in their right mind would spend a dollar to see Rooney, Barron and Gauthier who adds neither goals nor hits/fights? If they had a Reaves or Johnston type of guy there, Wilson would be more careful.

They did have solid role players like Lemieux who wouldn't hesitate to drop the gloves with anyone and got rid of him. As soon as they traded him, they lost any grit they had.

They also don't have Trouba in. Trouba is the only defense man who will consistently take the body and throw a solid hit. Rangers fans criticize him, but to me he is worth the $8 million just for playing solid defense and being the only physical presence they have.

No Lemieux or Trouba = softest team in the NHL.
