Tom Wilson, 20 goals and counting

Yeah, and William Karlsson will score 40 again. ;)
Entirely different situations bud. I look forward to PMing you for every goal Big Willy scores next season. I’m gonna be all up in your DMs. Also, Karlsson’s 43Goal season was more than 4X his previous career high. Wilson scored 14G effectively on the 4th Line just last season, 25 isn’t even 2X his most recent season, comparing him to Karlsson is simplistic and uninformed, be prepared to enjoy your Big Willy-style Avatar.

Actually when I win this bet I might have you just change your username to Easy Money.

Wilson, Marchand, M Tkachuk are what all teams need. Wilson, every opponent is aware when hes on the ice and they are thinking about him. Hes a distraction, a menace, a hitter, and his team are the Champs because he played a huge role.
Teams need more Wilsons etc. Its better hockey.

I agree, they are my three favorite active players currently, they bring the spark that a team needs sometimes.

Tom Wilson isn't picking on weaker opponents and it's not fear stopping him from certain fights. The problem I have with Wilson is the way he picks and chooses fights, it's always on his grounds. He'll chase a guy for throwing a big hit on his teammate, but ignores requests if it's from a hit that he threw. I really hate this type of mentality of only fighting when you're in the mood.

I always get the impression from Wilson that he thinks he's a big shot and everyone needs to get in line on their knees if they want an audience with him. He disappeared in the game after Gudbranson challenged him earlier this weak, but not out of fear. He wanted to de-escalate the situation, because he wasn't in the mood for a big fight and didn't think it was worth being targeted. Since the playoffs his ego has been greatly inflated to the point where he thinks he can goon it up, but is too good of a player to have to deal with lower class goons.

Great post. This is what Lucic used to do too. Only a tough guy when it’s convenient.

Like he finally fought Oleskiak earlier this year finally but pretty much jumped him from the side.

Fake tough guy. He’s a perfect Cap.

This is the natural progression of Wilson haters. This shows they've run out of ammo.

He's just a 4th line no talent goon.

He can't play without getting suspended, I give it 10 games.

He's going to be neutered and ineffective because of suspensions.

Career high of 14 goals lol and his playoffs were a fluke.

Now he's a 20 goal scorer and the haters are calling him a fake tough guy. Lol he was an old school enforcer his first two seasons. He's too valuable to throw down every game. Of course he's going to be smart about it. Let the hate flow through you. Wilson thrives on it.

Jumping Oleksiak is still a narrative? LOL. "Rent free" is still going strong.

Saying “rent free” is still a thing? Not very creative.

Tom Wilson’s story is yet to be written. Stayed tuned.

Even in winning some are losers.

It’s unfortunate the only nhl athletes with personality are toolbags Wilson, Marchand, etc.

I should have known better than to post in this thread. Nothing good is going to come out of it.

LOL Pens fans at their best once again...

Why 1st liner should fight 4th liner useless goon in playoffs game?

If you throw a dirty hit and ignore challenges, chances are the other team is going to start taking runs at your best players. Wilson was lucky it was against the Pens, not a team like the Blues who continually look for opportunities to escalate dirty hits in a game.

Yeah, Wilson seems pretty concerned about pissing off the St. Louis Blues....

If you throw a dirty hit and you feel like it was dirty enough to answer for that's one thing. If a guy who keeps proving to the rest of the NHL that he doesn't know how to protect himself tries to joust with you and loses, you don't owe anyone a pound of flesh in the playoffs.

And if you think that's what jumping a guy looks like, I don't know, give up? This part of the game clearly isn't for you. Oleksiak took a late pinch (and a pretty high run) on the other team's D and you don't think he knew what he was asking for? Considering they had already made plenty of noise before the game even started? Come on.

What Pens best player Wilson gave dirty hit? Best players are best players because they know how to dodge Wilson hits. They're are fast and they see the ice. Usually, Wilson victims are players who ignore him or don't know how to play in NHL.

Besides, don't mix different things. Giving a reckless hit to someone who doesn't know how to skate with head up it's not the same as hunting team's best players whole game. Player that does second thing deserves heavy beating to the blood every day.

You think Wilson jumped Olesiak. You should watch the fight again. It was actually Olesiak that threw the first punch.

Wilson did get the jump on Oleksiak, Wilson was skating forward and had the momentum , his hand grabbed Oleksiak's right sleeve first where he couldn't get off an effective shot and was twisted as a forward charging Wilson grabbed him... All's fair in love and war but the film doesn't lie, Wilson pearl harbor'd the guy.

Wilson is very cheap and dirty player.

Lies lies and blatant lies.

Always on his grounds...

Petrovic drops the gloves and throws punches before Wilson even has his gloves off.

Boyle drops his gloves and instigates a fight with Wilson answering for his hit right away, again another lie above.

Wilson answering for a hit right after with fight with McCabe.

And on and on. Significantly all his fights are fair drops and he answers for his hits that game or the next.
