Folks. It's an upgrade any way you slice it. Those sharks series took a lot out of the Kings year after year, whatever McClellan was selling those guys were buying in. I'm cautiously optimistic.

That’s been very strange to me, getting Sturm was supposed to be a big win but I’ve never seen him give an interview or be heard or seen in a public manner, very strange

I am fine with it. There were far worse choices out there. It's all on the players now, McLellan will have a lot of job security. As Bernie Nicholls mentioned, the last time we hired a former Sharks coach, we won the cup. Hopefully, we eventually get back there before this deal he signed is up...

I'm fine with this...especially after WD making me scream and wanting to bang my head against a wall, most every game. TMc took the Oil to round 2, 2 years ago. Crap team.

The Kings youth will get a chance and not sent down to Ontario or benched after outplaying veterans.
I sincerely hope Carter, Phaneuf, Lewis and Toffoli are gone before camp and in with the new.

Next up: Anderson signing. Then after April 30: Prokhorkin signing. Then Draft. #5, apx #25, #33, #64

I think management hires TMcL because they expect him to get better performances from the aging, overpaid cup vet group. It’s likely they are betting on the randomness of the NHL and see no reason why this team couldn’t make the playoffs next year. Basically writing off this season as an aberration.

If we end up with a similar result a year from now, I guess that’s ok if we see more roster turnover and ice time to prospects. Look forward to the press conference tomorrow.
