That really is a litmus test for me. He needs to look past what Andersen has done and look at what he's capable of doing. Even in his best years with the Leafs he is just a slightly above average goalie and right now he's got a long way to go before he even gets to average.

If we acquired one of them and they continued playing the way they are, but Andersen bounces back, it would look and be a bad situation. Moving a player like Andersen who's still believe it or not popular among the team wouldn't be good for the room, especially how close he is to Matthews. I don't think Matthews is gonna give him the cold shoulder now or leave him on read tonight. "We can be friends again when you can stop a beach ball". Getting another goalie has gotta be worth it, they gotta stop pucks at least, hopefully also freeing up some cap space.

Yea but the particular goalies mentioned (besides injured Kuemper) are probably along that same stat line. Ullmark may be a solution from Buffalo which has been a shitshow.

He's a big body in the net. He has proven his lack of athleticism. If the puck hits him, he is decent positionally but he is incapable of making those game winning saves. Time to look elsewhere.

10 of 21 games hitting in the below .899. This guy is done. Dubas has to trade him for Keefe. Spending assets for a quality starter to keep our winning season going is acceptable. Keeping Andersen as the starter is not. Crazy how much he has declined. Paramount Dubas makes the next save by getting rid of him.

We'd have to be willing to ride Campbell for a bit since Kuemper is out for a bit with an injury.

However, if they want to protect Hill, they'd need another goalie with term and who is eligible. They could get that from the Andersen trade though, since Andersen is not going to agree to go and stay in Arizona. He will want to go to some kind of competitor.
