I really want to get a "PUSHBACK" jersey made up but I'm afraid theyll ban me from the arena if I wear it.

I guess we are getting better W-Fi is my take away. Better Wi-fi means a better fan experience!

Dear XXXX,
On behalf of the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club and True North Sports + Entertainment, I would like to express sincere appreciation and gratitude for your loyal support of our Winnipeg Jets during the 2022-23 season.
True North’s purpose is to be relentless in our pursuit of providing a superior fan experience, developing championship calibre hockey teams, nurturing our employee team, and collectively making a meaningful and consistent contribution to our community (True North Purpose). These priorities are what drive our ownership, 300 full-time (plus 900+ part-time) employees, and other stakeholders who expend tremendous care, effort, and commitment to operating a Winnipeg Jets season.
But it is the fans who turn hockey games at Canada Life Centre into events, and who transform an NHL playoff game into a Winnipeg Whiteout – with all the fun and excitement that these games bring.
Despite an exceptional start to the season and qualifying for post-season play – we share in the disappointment by not advancing further, as it is an organizational goal to win a Stanley Cup for our city and province.
In response, we offer no excuses or rationalizing comments – but instead embrace the resilience our community is known for, and continue our collective efforts to improve for the future. Looking ahead:
Forever Winnipeg, is not just a tagline, but rather a declaration of unrelenting efforts to ensure that our NHL franchise thrives in perpetuity. It is your emotional and financial investment with our team that provides the energy in our venues, and the fuel that makes the economic engine of True North and the Winnipeg Jets go. For this we are grateful.
- We are excited by the $13 million renovation, already underway, to improve service offerings, the north concourse and Wi-Fi for all fans at Canada Life Centre;
- We value the tireless efforts of our hockey management and scouts, as they prepare for the NHL Scouting Combine, the NHL Draft, and the necessary work required to develop championship calibre teams; and
- Our organization remains focused on sales efforts within the framework of our Forever Winnipeg ticket sales campaign.
Thank you,
John Olfert, President & Chief Operating Officer

Looking at the positive: This is a lot better messaging. Says "we are trying to win" without rebuilding and "we aren't going anywhere" without subtly threatening to leave. Expresses gratitude and shares our disappointment.
Looking at the negative: Took them (at least) 3 tries to get the tone right.
Next step: some actual clarity from hockey ops on what "the plan" is for next season. Not holding my breath on that one.
no, super disappointing eh?Nothing in the letter about Schieffle gliding around, Dubois taking the night off, and Wheeler insisting that the team be run his way?
Yeah, I get it. I'm just personally sick of that approach.I think we will all have our clarity when we see the returns for our expiring players.
Yeah, I get it. I'm just personally sick of that approach.
I'm not asking him to divulge who he's trading where, or for what. Just saying "we're not tearing this down to the studs, we want to be competitive next year" would be a good start.
The lack of transparency - hell the lack of saying anything at all - from Chevy is really wearing on me. It doesn't have to be like this.
Then he can fail at his goal and put his foot in his mouth. Get up there on July 1 and take ownership for whatever happens. Accountability & integrity win all day for me over word salads and gaslighting.I mean if he says that and he only gets future packages for his players then he'd be putting his foot in his mouth.
Most years I'd agree that more direction should and could be provided. This summer could go in so many different directions depending on the players and their returns.

I think by saying nothing, Chevy has revealed his plan for the summer. Then he can fail at his goal and put his foot in his mouth. Get up there on July 1 and take ownership for whatever happens. Accountability & integrity win all day for me over word salads and gaslighting.
Again, I don't need trade secrets. But I feel like we deserve to know what the goal is, if not the plan to get there.
When I’m fishing I don’t think of much else either.I think by saying nothing, Chevy has revealed his plan for the summer.
Don’t forget about that 25% discount on overpriced concessionsThat was not the email to STH, it was a picture caption on one of the flight path emails. Here is the actual one that was sent out today:

Wait…..are you saying other NHL rinks don’t have overpriced concessions?Don’t forget about that 25% discount on overpriced concessions
Lol
No, but other NHL teams give better incentives and perks for STHs than just a discount on overpriced food and drinks (that you can literally get at the Dollar Tree just across the main entrance on Donald St). That was from 2019-20 so it could have changed after COVID, but Nashville had one of the better STH perks and incentives in the league at that time. I’m not too knowledgeable on what some other teams offer, as I don’t really follow them enough to know, but working as guest event staff at CLC, the incentives for our STHs are not really there considering how many people are dropping their STs. Quite a few other teams perks for NHL STHs are pretty mid to downright worthless (Toronto & Montreal surprisingly don’t offer much being O6 teams with bigger arenas and fanbases but they always try to gouge money from fans and sponsors anyways, the Rags and Isles are at the bottom of the league). COVID has changed and wiped some perks for every team out there.
