Unfortunate it's the day of. Would have liked to see Klimchuk or Poirier brought up but unlikely they could get there in time.

I wish it was just a fine, I don't want to see Tkachuk neutered.

I hope someone feeds this kid his lunch...freakin rat

He ran Anderson a few times last night, speared Martin and was in Gardiner's face the whole night.
No Leaf challenged him in any away at any point in the game. Of course thats gonna give him the green light to continue doing what he's doing.
I would call him a rat if he's pulling all that shit and ducking fights, but he's really not.

At least with the whole Doughty incident he ended up fighting McNabb.

Probably only deserves a game. Kinda wish they would crack down on him harder, because he does stupid stuff all the time, and I dont think hes getting the message.

I wish more people responded the way Doughty did. That last game against LA was extremely entertaining. Way better than just whinning the next day. Get in his face and do something about it.

It was too close a game to risk taking a stupid penalty. Its on the refs to control the game. At the end of the day, someone will catch him with an elbow to the face or something similar in a blow out.

I don't think he really deserved any for this incident. But with any history with the DOPS, it makes sense that they won't just let everything slide.

A player with no track record might have gotten none, and a oft-suspended player might have gotten more. So 1 game is just fine.

A game sounds right to me. As I said before, I bet you the league made it clear that if he does this off ice stuff again, it'll be longer.

Without the Detroit thing I think he would've gotten a fine for this.

The sad thing is that you say this and then one day he is going to be on the receiving end and you will probably be the first thing crying foul.

Tkachuk has been on the receiving end more than he's given it out. I don't even think it's close actually.

He seems to love to take it as much as he gives it out. Crazy SOB for sure.

Only 1 game but good thing is he's getting a track record. NHL is becoming familiar with his behaviour and he will receive harsher punishments if he continues to do stupid things. Good!

You mean suddenly waking up to common sense, while still being a pest?

Brad Marchand became a lot more effective after he cleaned up his game a bit. I just hope he keeps his edge and learns where to toe the line a bit better.

What about receiving a cross check to the head from Landeskog which resulted in a 4game suspension? The kids not gonna change short of a Bertuzzi/Moore, Mcsorley/Brashear play.
I'm a Flames fan and I freaking love Tkachuk, but to other teams, instead of whinning and about his play and hoping someone else will "feed him his lunch" or "catch him" just hope your players will actually do something about it.

Only reason he fought McNabb is because Mcnabb is one of the worst fighters I've ever seen, his center of gravity is none existent.
