So when Norris, Pinto and Stutzle outplay him this year and next year after their ELCs, they will all command 8mil each
Stutzle doesn't look like (at least from his preseason) that he's going to outplay any of Norris, Pinto or Tkachuk. Hoping the sophomore jinx doesn't set in but it might bite him hard.

Brady is the alpha in that room, and they all look up to him...They all want to play with him ,and can see this happening..We may have a player or too that doesnt see it this way,but STU,Norris etc will sign contracts to stay
It also alleviates Chabot's game. Playing 27m/g and being a captain would be pushing his limits.

basically paying a guy who will have a hard time cracking 65 points and who is unable to carry his own line, Makar, Heiskanen, Petterson, Svhechnikov etc money.

However it is refreshing that Melnyk agreed to such a stupidly rich contract. That's at least a win.
It has been signed and you should now fall under Brady's charisma like the rest of Sens' fans!!!

Those guys will earn what their comparables dictate. The issue with Brady is he brings value in areas where there really aren't comparables, so you look at a guy like Suzuki who scored at a slightly higher pace (60 vs 55 or thereabouts) and have to figure out how to value intangibles like fighting, hitting, being the team captain, ect.

I think we overpaid a bit, but I think it's much easier for a unicorn like Brady to argue he deserves more than a guy with multiple easy comparables. Batherson for example got right in line with his peers, he was easy to find similar players. Norris and Stützle should be the same.
Agree
2nd in his draft year in points behind Svechnikov (.69 vs .63 ppg ish) for slightly more $ but more intangibles too (see BT dropping Chairot with one blow kind of stuff...)
Svechnikov being on a much better team too

stuztle probably

don't overrate norris and pinto

Norris and Pinto will be the true heart and foundation of our forward core. Two players down the middle who can match up and shutdown the best players.

form what they have shown so far and compared to Brady in particular they are massively underrated.

This is good news overall. A tad more for right now, but over the length is not bad. He should continue to improve each year so that is a good thing. Plus he knows who he's playing with and has to be happy about that.
I was concerned for the holdout and I think he basically made up his mind to maximize yet not let the team (and his friends and fans) down. I guess there is something to his liking the city of Ottawa experience. Put the others in their place and now he can be his own man.
Hold off on today's announcement and give him the C. Chabot, Paul, Brown with an A. Rotate th A as needed.

Uh , having a great Power forward on line one to go along with a super skilled winger on line two says different...Not taking away from these two but the diversity and skill from the wing is what will make this team go

lets cherry pick the other rfa contracts signed just this summer?
Sure, I don't trade Brady and his contract for Svech and his contract.

I turn the television on to watch Brady and the Shinanigans that could happen I doubt people do for Svech to the same extent.

If we are to make the playoffs in a year or 2 I want Brady on my hockey team over Svech.

Brady is being projected to be on the USA Olympic team despite your "claims of his mediocrity".

I have been waiting 2 years to buy my Brady Jersey for a contract with term because none of our Captains stay.

How much more marketing revenue does Brady produce?
