Zac Jones has been sitting for months watching K'giveaway play night after night and at this point it's disgraceful.

I am glad this worked out but am still shocked that it did.

Our goalie didn't suck and they were able to collect themselves. Ottawa sucks so yes, they were/are bad.

Tkachuk fighting a 27 year old with 40 career games up 2-0 in a game is certainly an interesting idea to get the losing team fired up.

There is a reason he is not an everyday player. He played well but he'd do this at least once a month. He couldn't even be an NHL top 6 for the Coyotes. 8th or 9th dman depth at best

SCOUTING REPORT
Owns a projectable frame and excellent puck-moving ability. Defends his position well and can also produce points from the back end (at lower levels). Is a relatively low-maintenance blueliner who can log a lot of minutes in all situations, if required. Could stand to add more bulk and get physically stronger in order to maximize ice time through the rigors of the National Hockey League.

Long Range Potential: Solid depth defenseman.

Jones should never play against heavy net front teams, but games like this he deserves to play. I know people love Gus around here, but he has just been okay since Fox came back. Him and Jones were supposed to split. Jones is/was a highly touted prospect/asset.

Miller being the worst dman amongst THIS back end is sad.

Anyway, a win is a win. Very on brand that now they have a break and can't build on it, but maybe it's for the better. Let them feel good during the break and really come back guns blazing.

When mistakes cost us a couple of goals (looking at you Key) Quick shut the door and stopped everything. The difference when Shesty is playing is that the team gives up after a couple of weak goals because they know Shesty won't make the stops.

Pretty impressed with McKay. Never seen him play before. He plays with an edge. We would be better off if he replaced Trouba and his salary from here on out.

Here's the biggest issue with Igor. If we went down 2-0 he would have crumbled and it would been game over when it was 3 or 4-0. He just does not give this team a chance to win. We need to go with Quick as the starter until Igor decides to be an NHL starter again.
