I don't know but to me "Small" in the NHL is sub 5"10 180 lbs. Liljegren and Dermott are pretty much the same size and nobody consider Dermott small.

According to the most recent and handiest data I could find, to start the 2019 season the average nhl player is 6’1” 199.3lbs so neither guy is “small” at 6’ 200+ (I suspect Lilly is closer to 210-215 by how big he looks now)

the only issue i see with him right now is, he seems slow in one on one situations when going into the d-zone if he needs to chase someone down, or, they are racing for the puck.
...carrying the puck, he's fluid, so, he needs to work on his overall speed, or he'll never be more than a bottom pair defender.

Got to agree with Havoc here. Tim's only pitfall aside from getting torched by Moore last night is that he's too small and we have Topi Niemela in the pipeline.
He's not small, and even if he was, the Bruins made it to game 7 of the cup final with:

5'9" Krug playing 24 games
5'9" Grzelcyk playing 20 games
5'11" Clifton playing 18 games
5'11" Kampfer playing 3 games.

They had extremes at the other end in Chara and Carlo obviously but just give me good players, especially on defense. I don't really care how big they are.

I still don't know how I feel about Lily he's been pretty good but hopefully he doesn't turn into a Tyson Barrie

I’d like to see a Rielly - Lilly pairing at some point.

Probably a big ask for a rookie D, so it would likely mean Keefe needs to go even TOI on all 3 pairings ES. But I feel like he would compliment Reilly well.
