nothing subtle about hockey players

saw an interview with Vaive and the interviewer said something to the effect of "lots of guys cut their sticks pretty short but I noticed that you always used a pretty long stick?

Vaive kind of snickered and said "yeah but the King used the longest stick of all!"

it was like watching Springer and Hernandez in the dugout after one of them would hit a HR, and then do the "shimmy" to each other, Kings of the swinging stick club

Liljegren responded with a great game after struggling in the previous one. Game by game he is developing confidence to join the rush.

Did anyone here watch Svehla....Honestly, he was, superb.....Incredible dman...Didn't leave for another city of the NHL. He left the NHL entirely....

To me, it was the biggest give off, off huge NHL money, I have ever seen given up...

Saw Svehla live... MANY times...

Saw my great friend kaberle, who might have been the nicest, coolest nhler I ever, ever met..

Never got the story on Svehla, but he was a ridic good dman for the Leafs, he just went back home..

Never heard anything about it.... Guess it didn't serve the NHL well then, or now...

Guy was a number one D...For us...

Played for a limited team but any decent leaf fan could tell, we had a number one guy in him and he just went home..


Lets not do that to Lill or Sandin...

and Sandin is growing on me a lot..

But my guy Borje, had a game that was sick....

And he did not have a single d partner that was any good..

I would love hire Salming to coach sandin, lill and engvall...

I have hung around over 50 nhlers on a pretty serious basis...

Salming, was the coolest Leaf of all time..

He loves his schtick in Sweden...

But kyyle, its time for borje to take Pierre, RAS, and lill, to the levels you took the NHL to...

But to caution the Leafs, borje loves his recreation sports, which includes crazy ass stuff that challenges any body, any age..

Work around that KYLE and hire my guy....

Can you all imagine, the Leafs sign Borje to work with even just lill and razz...

I wish all of you, or any of you could spend even one minute with Salming...

I think you would all think with me, why is this guy not spending volume time, with the shanahan swedish plan...

If you were to spend one minute on the phone or in person, with borje, well, we had the king, with all the sick money money we apparently have, why is he not, working with our swedes...

He is and was Leaf... If I was SHANAHAN, that would be a hire, that would probably make severe global profits, on top, of improving the team...

Hiring Borje, would be a SICK hire for Dubas. . Sick...

Muzzin-Brodie makes too much sense at this point. Timothy has definitely earned a promotion, and we'll be a better team for it.

Agreed. Package either Dermott or Holl along with Mikheyev for a slight upgrade on the blue line.

If you can package one of dermy/holl and one of Mik/Eng and a pick for a top four guy thats the only way i would move one of them... Having D depth come playoff's will be huge(See Muzzin injury the last two years)

Seriously though he's been great. Wish him and Sandin could get a bit of puck luck and bank a goal or two each. Could really take their confidence to another level.
