- not much of point production to be two way defenseman (pace for 25 points)

Always traded for him in NHL 18, had low elite potential so his trade value wasn’t too high so you got him for two 2nd round picks and when you played the games he had very high value in the next off season so you could swap him for a superstar.

He did just this on last night's Hockey Central show. I'm trying to find video but they had Justin Bourne and Consentino break down both team in categories like Forwards ( which Consentino took the Leafs ), Defense ( again he took the Leafs ), Goaltending ( surprisingly he took the Leafs although he did praise Ullmark ) and a few other categories. Anybody that watched Hockey Central can back me up here.

Lilj has taken a really big step this season. Definitely inserted himself as a solid #3-4 defenseman.

The problem right now with the Leafs D is Rielly is not a proper #1D. Decent team defense since they have good depth, finally, but no true star on the back end. Rielly was decent against Tampa in the playoffs, though. I'm honestly more worried about Toronto's depth scoring being poor in games where their big contracts don't end up having multi-point games.
